2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Great in most circumstances
When I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was used. I knew going into it that it was an older car and may have some issues due to the age of the vehicle. It does really well in the snow, and I like how I can fit a lot of storage in the car. Because it is older, I am not as concerned with the cosmetics of the car, but I know that because of its size, I am mostly safe while driving. It is easy to drive, spacious, and has nice speakers for me to listen to music.
Story
While in Pennsylvania traveling back to Maryland, the person in front of my vehicle on a one lane bridge ran out of gas in the middle of the bridge. There were no shoulders and concrete barriers on either side. I ended up having to push them with the front bumper of my Jeep until they could pull off of the road after the bridge.
Pros
I like that this vehicle is four-wheel drive (high and low). It has helped me many times in the snow, and I feel more confident driving it in cold whether than I would your average sedan. It has a lot of space for me to haul large objects (people, larger furniture). I can fold the back seats down, so it almost becomes like a pickup truck. I don't generally get stuck in the mud ever due to four-wheel drive also.
Cons
I get terrible gas mileage because of the vehicle size. I have also had to replace many things since the vehicle has been purchased due to age. Fortunately, I have access to a mechanic (family member) who is readily able to fix problems quickly without charging me for it. Looking at only purchases (and not mechanic labor), I have put 3,000 to 4,000 dollars into the car replacing various parts like tires, tie rods, windshield wipers, and spark plugs. It still has a few problems (loses windshield wiper fluid) but drives fine. The car is 15 + years old, so these things are expected.
2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee - One of the best non-luxury SUV's I've driven
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has preformed amazing in the city and on the highway. With the eco-boost enabled, I average about 25-27 MPG on the highway. While in the city I average about 15-18 MPG. The inside of the Jeep has plenty of room. When my family all sits in the SUV with four people at 6 ft., we all have plenty of leg room. I also snowboard and my wife skis. We have the ability to put down one of the seats to allow our skis/snowboard to fit easily in the back with two additional people in the car. The power outlet in the backseat has been amazing for long road trips, which allow a laptop to but plugged in and charging to keep everyone in the backseat happy. The suspension in the SUV has done great as well. My wife has a family farm, which the SUV takes the off-road with ease. I hav... (more)
Story
I normally take my Jeep up to the mountains for snowboarding because it handles the unpredictable weather better than my other car.
Pros
One of the top features of the vehicle has to be the heated front and back seats. Most cars only give heated front seats. The back-up camera is also great.
Cons
The city MPG could be better.

2010 Jeep Wrangler - Carmax
Our sales rep was wonderful! He was very patient with all of my questions-I came back more than once before purchasing and he was just as helpful each time. I had a hard time choosing from 3 that I had in mind, and never did I feel pressured by him to buy the most expensive one. I love the idea of no-haggle also! It makes the car buying experience so easy and straightforward.
