2014 Jeep Compass - This vehicle is clunky, constantly has transmissions issues and is not very fun to drive.

I liked the body style of the vehicle when I purchased it because it was a nice mid-size SUV. I thought it had a lot of great space in the trunk and on top of the roof rack, especially for long trips. Over time, the interior has fallen apart much faster than I had anticipated. The radio interface became obsolete pretty quickly and the Bluetooth constantly has trouble connecting to my phone for wireless calls. The transmission likes to act up constantly and make my SUV rattle with strange noises when I'm driving on the freeway. Overall, I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. It seemed like a great purchase for the price and suited my needs, though I can't wait to trade this vehicle in for a full size truck.
Story
My only favorite memory of using this vehicle around here was going on a local dirt road while on a hiking trip. I found a partially paved road while searching for a hiking trail nearby and ended up on quite an excursion before realizing I couldn't turn around.
Pros
My favorite thing about this vehicle was the body style and the trunk space.
Cons
The engine, transmission, electronics and poor quality cloth on the interior.

The 2011 Jeep Compass is a decent small SUV. The car did not seem to age well. I have had it for six years. After the second year, I felt like I was driving an old car. The sides of the seats started to fall apart. Other plastic parts on the interior and exterior of the car started to look warn or even fall apart. The Compass does drive well, and the engine has held up great. The majority of my issues are with the interior of the vehicle.
Story
Having a Jeep Compass makes for easy driving of our country roads. The extra trunk space makes for great days at the lake.
Pros
The Jeep Compass is always sold at a great price point. Our Jeep Compass has driven great for six years without any issues with the motor. I like how spacious the back seat and trunk are.
Cons
I take very good care of my Jeep Compass. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped the interior plastic parts from fall apart. The plastic panels on the sides of the seats fell off after the first two years. Other plastic parts have also worn, broke or fallen off in the years since then. The plastic and rubber parts on the exterior started to look oxidized after two years as well. It's a great car at first and then goes downhill quickly.

Mid-City Motors has a very large selection of used vehicles. Mid-City motors has a lot of new cars to choose from also, as they are a multi-make dealership. I found their salespeople to be both knowledgeable, and friendly. Overall the experience of buying a used car was painless.
