2014 Jeep Compass - The car has a great body style.
The car gets good mileage for a small SUV. The back seats have ample room for an adult passenger. It is easy to get in and out of this car. The car is easy to drive and has good front windshield visibility. My main problem with this car is the back window visibility. There are head rests that block your view, and the vehicle sits higher in the back, which makes it impossible to see what is behind you unless you use the side mirrors. This car had less than ten miles on it when it was purchased in 2016 and already the brakes are squeaking. The car has good acceleration on the highway. The car has a good paint job.
Story
My one memorable story is driving some friends around the city who were visiting from out of town. They commented on how comfortable and roomy the back seats were.
Pros
My favorite feature is the body style. I am also pleased with the mileage I get. I love the roomy interior in the front and back seats. This car maneuvers very well and is very easy to drive. I feel very safe in this car because it has good front window visibility. It has good traction in bad weather. It has a smooth ride.
Cons
My top negative thing about this car model is the poor back window visibility. The placement of the head rest and the higher back end elevation makes it impossible to see what is behind you unless you use the side view mirrors. I am a senior citizen driver, and my head and neck muscles are not as flexible as they used to be. My other negative about this car is trying to see out the passenger side window if someone is sitting in the seat. I do not like the squeaky brakes after only two years and 5,000 miles. 2014 Jeep Compass - The elevated rear end makes this vehicle hard to drive in reverse.
I really like the body style and size of this SUV vehicle. It is a very easy vehicle to drive in bad weather. I feel very safe in it. I do not like the elevated rear end, because it is difficult to see what is behind you when you are driving in reverse.
Story
My most memorable story is being able to scale an incline during snowy conditions when other vehicles were having trouble getting to the top of the hill.
Pros
My favorite feature is the body style and color. It is black all over and really looks great after it is washed and polished. This vehicle gets good mileage, and it has not needed maintenance other than a routine oil change. There have been no recalls on this car. The inside of the vehicle is very roomy. There is ample leg room in the back seat, and it has adequate head room. It responds well in bad weather conditions. I am a senior driver, and I find it easy to drive going forward, and I feel safe sitting higher up on the road in traffic than a small sedan vehicle.
Cons
The main design flaw of this vehicle is the elevated rear end, which makes it challenging to drive in reverse. I am a senior driver and my body mobility has changed from when I was younger. I can not twist my neck and contort my torso like I use to when I younger. This vehicle does not have good visibility to see objects behind you. The backseat headrests also obstruct your view when trying to parallel park. My vehicle has a small trunk space unless you put the back seats down.
