2010 Jeep Commander - Awesome, sturdy
The jeep commander is a nice car for every day driving. There is optional third row storage (which I normally keep down), but nice to have in the event that I would need it. The back seats all fold down for transporting larger items which makes it very nice. The build of the car just seems sturdy, and able to drive in the snow, which is nice during the winter months with the automatic 4 wheel drive.
Story
Driving home in the winter in a winter storm was a lot easier than in my previous SUV crossover that I owned previously.
Pros
Automatic four wheel drive is a nice feature, as well as the third row seating, but optional folding down to make more room in the trunk. Gas mileage isn't terrible and somewhat better to similar vehicles. I like the "heaviness" of how the car feels when driving. It is pretty fast as well, maybe not as much as a sports car, but still not slow, and acceleration is smooth.
Cons
Some negatives are that when turning, if you turn the wheel too tight the wheels will pop. I have had problems with the starter going back shortly after purchasing the vehicle, however replacing it has taken care of the problem and I haven't had any problems with it since.
2008 Jeep Commander - Jeep Commander
Purchased my Jeep used in 2014 with 52,000 miles. Since then we have put on 13,000 miles. Has been a pleasure to drive. No major problems have come up with the vehicle. It drives great in the snow, ice, and rain. Have not gone off road with it yet but have seen plenty people doing it. Lots of room for our family. I'm a large person and fit in the backseat with tons of room to spare. Heated leather seats are great. Gas mileage is good for the weight of the vehicle and only having the V6. We love the SiriusXM satellite on our trips and everyday drives. The commander has a decent amount of storage space with lots of nooks to store stuff. If they still made the vehicles I would be getting another one, however they stopped production of this vehicle.

Driving our son around to the state parks in our area.
Pros
It's a Jeep!
Tons of storage space for all your stuff
4x4 works great in the snow and mud
Heated leather seats are very nice in the winter
Satellite radio is nice for trips
Cons
It's not a Wrangler
They don't make them anymore
Wish I had the HEMI
