I like how this vehicle looks. It has a commanding look and is an attention-getting vehicle. It also has a fold-down third row, which is good for when several people have to travel together. It should be noted, however, that the third row, when being used, is only really good for small passengers. It would be difficult for a large adult to ride comfortably in the third row, especially for a long distance. I also like that you can fold down both the third row and middle seating in order to move items from place to place. The second row is functional but is not as comfortable or roomy as many other vehicles. Front seats are comfortable and are heated, which is nice. This vehicle also has a navigation system , though it is not nearly as advanced as newer GPS systems. For example, it does ... (more)
Story
We have fun looking at Christmas lights in this vehicle each year. For example, we go to "Southern Lights" at the Kentucky Horse Park each year and are able to accommodate other family members due to the size of this vehicle.
Pros
It has an attention getting look. It can go fast and has a lot of get up and go due to the hemi engine. Interior looks high quality, overall. Feels easy to maneuver despite large size. Enough room for several passengers or to move items.
Cons
Gas guzzler. Air conditioning problems. Transmission has gone and was extremely expensive to replace. Power steering went at same time as transmission. Frequent problems of many kinds.

2006 Jeep Commander - Roomy, but nothing special.

This was a used car purchase that we made when on vacation and needed a vehicle to return home. We had been looking at Jeeps for some time, but had not decided to actually buy one until we were sort of in a clutch. The main reason we chose this vehicle over the other SUVs available is the interior passenger room. There is ample room inside for large humans and plenty of cargo space. A 6'7" male weighing in at 300 pounds can sit comfortably in the driver seat and although no one can sit behind him, there is room for cargo there. However, it appears to be a base model and there aren't many amenities included in the package we ended up with.
Story
This vehicle was waiting for us when our vehicle broke down on vacation and we needed something to get home. It was stressful, but we were able to buy the Jeep, install a trailer hitch and get home before our vacation time had expired.
Pros
There is ample room inside for large humans and plenty of cargo space. A 6'7" male weighing in at 300 pounds can sit comfortably in the driver seat and although no one can sit behind him, there is room for cargo there. It is a four wheel drive vehicle and we were able to install a towing hitch right away so that we were able to pull our trailer. There is lots and lots of room for cargo.
Cons
There are cloth seats, no heated seats, no Bluetooth or connections for your phone. The third row seats are kind of nonsense since you would have to be a four year old in order to climb back to them over the second row seats. The second row seats are not comfortable as they sit straight up and can not recline even a touch (as far as I can tell) so if you aren't in the front seat, be prepared to be uncomfortable.
