2000 Jeep Cherokee - Super Durable
Living by the ocean with vehicle 15 years old now, 1 previous owner. 140K mi and 1 trans rebuild, no other major issues.
Story
Every curb I jump is memorable! Jeeps are great at picking where you want to go into the parking lot.
Pros
Super durable, lasts through anything.
Cons
Poor gas mileage, boxy frame gets pushed around by wind.
2016 Jeep Cherokee - A very popular Jeep and worth it.
I originally leased this vehicle because I'd be living in a rural area over the winter. The area has a lot of hills and snow fall, so I absolutely needed something that could handle the environment. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the Altitude as it isn't exactly an off-road vehicle but was able to navigate what I threw at it. The snow wasn't an issue, and considering we had a very bad winter, I will say I was happy that I had decided on the purchasing the Jeep instead of a sedan I had my eyes on before seeing the Altitude. Even though it's not considered for off-road use, it does have a profile for a Jeep that is meant to go off-road, which is interesting. Story
I'd say my mill drive in the woods was the best moment of this Jeep. A tree had been blown over in the road. The road behind the tree was covered in snow and would be too dangerous to navigate because there was a cliff somewhere up ahead. My wife thought we would be stranded, but I decided we could drive through the woods. She was scared, but we made it home in that storm safe and sound.
Pros
I think the Active Drive option is the best thing about this vehicle. Since it has an off-road, one-inch suspension, it works in tandem with the active drive. It has a low range in hill decent control in addition to four different terrain settings. It had snow, mud, sand and sport settings, which have all come in handy at some point or another over the course of the winter. When needing to drive through the woods, the sand setting actually kept me from getting stranded by a fallen tree in the road. Cons
I'd say the dash is a bit cumbersome. The more bells and whistles the Jeep has, the more you need to read and experiment. Other than that, I don't have any complaints.

2011 Jeep Liberty - Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Amityville
The experience was actually incredibly poor. I bought the jeep from this dealership and went back in 2014 to purchase another car only to be treated as a second class citizen. They refused to grant me my loyalty, shuffled me around from person to person, and had a shouting match with my daughter.
