2016 Jeep Cherokee - Great for winter weather!
I really love this vehicle. It is very dependable. I have had no issues, going on 45,000 miles. It has a nice display screen that it touchscreen for the radio and heating/cooling.
Story
I live in Stevens Point, WI, and on a really bad snow storm, many people on my street couldn't get out of their houses and to work, but I could zip out of my house and actually had fun fishtailing on my way to work!
Pros
I like the how much clearance there is under the vehicle. I lived in a snowy state so when it snows quite a bit, you can easily get stuck but not with this Jeep. I have been able to navigate through many storms and get out of snow banks. I also like the look of this vehicle, it's sporty and sleek. I also like a lot of the safety features, especially the back-up camera. The display for the radio, heating/cooling, etc., is also very nice. Cons
How much it costs. Looking back, I think that I could have gotten a similar vehicle for less if I bought an older model or different brand. I like the leather seats, but they do get really hot and really cold when the weather changes which can be a little uncomfortable.
2001 Jeep Cherokee - Very reliable
The Jeep Cherokee is a very reliable vehicle. It has an inline 6 cylinder 4.0 liter engine. This engine is known to be ultra reliable and descent for gas mileage. Everything is easy to work on and the parts are cheap. The Jeep has four wheel drive and can go just about anywhere you want to go. It has plenty of room for people and storage. There is an endless amount of aftermarket parts you can add or replace. I have owned six jeeps that are very similar to this one and have had the same experience with all of them as far as reliability. It is nice to be able to buy a vehicle outright and not have a car payment monthly. The insurance is cheap, also.
Story
I use the jeep for hunting driving through the deep snow and corn fields. Last year i shot a deer and was the only person in the group able to get to it with my vehicle.
Pros
I love having four wheel drive especially in the winters in southwest Wisconsin. The Jeep is very reliable and cheap to fix if something does go wrong.
Cons
The gas mileage is not the best on these jeeps as they are very boxy. Also, they are known for having rust. Having four wheel drive and bigger tires means you have to do alignments more often.
