2015 Jeep Cherokee - Reliable SUV with luxurious features, but low price tag!
The Jeep Cherokee is a great vehicle, perfect for both commuters and small families. It has been engineered well - there are many features that just "make sense". I loved the driving experience and ability to switch the mode depending on what terrain and driving conditions I was experiencing, such as off-road and snow. Speaking of snow, it handled very well in snow! I loved the easy remote access lift. The seats can go down as well, meaning you're never pressed for room and the IKEA boxes can fit! The overhead, panoramic sunroof is gorgeous for all passengers.
Story
I am able to connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth and play all of my favorite music during my commute and on long car rides. My dog also enjoys the vehicle. There is a lot of room for him to walk about and be able to lay in multiple positions :) We take a lot of trips together, going camping and hiking, and the car has more than enough room to fit all of our supplies with room for more!
Pros
Great technology interface - great GPS, XM system. Easy to connect your smartphone and access apps, such as Pandora. Touchscreen is easy to use. The interior and exterior are both very stylish. The back up cam is awesome and you're able to park very accurately while using it.
Cons
Certain parts can be expensive, which is to be expected with an SUV. Tires are costly and it also requires a synthetic oil change. The backseat can be slightly uncomfortable for long rides. I have had a few recalls on the car as well.
2001 Jeep Cherokee - Reliable
My Jeep is extremely reliable. The Jeep is very easy to perform maintenance on. The ride is not very comfortable. The gas mileage is not the greatest. The thing will run forever. It has well over 200,000 and shows no signs of quitting anytime soon. I've had this vehicle for several years and it has always been reliable. It looks good and handles well, I always get a lot of compliments on it.
Story
I used my jeep to pull my wife's Grand Cherokee out of the snow. I like to drive my jeep at the sand dunes.
Pros
The motor is bulletproof. The drive train is solid. The engine torque is very good for the size. Parts are easy to acquire and cheap. Most people can probably do the work themselves on it. The vehicle is a great platform for an off road vehicle. My jeep is great in the snow! Large snow drifts don't slow it down! There are lots of aftermarket parts available for it, such as lift kits, wenches, etc.
Cons
The fuel economy is not great. I get about 14 MPG in mixed driving. The ride quality is a little rough, I would not recommend this vehicle for any long trips with the family. The engine can also be kind of noisy. This vehicle really isn't a family vehicle, as space is somewhat limited.

They had the vehicle I wanted at the lowest price I could find. I actually purchased two vehicles at the same time. The sales woman was straight forward. She listened to what I wanted and found it without ever trying to upsell.

I wouldn't say the dealership was great although I really liked the lady who sold me the car. She was very helpful and patient with me as I asked a lot of questions and had a lot of concerns.
