2016 Jeep Cherokee Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2016 Jeep Cherokee - I enjoy this vehicle as a daily commute.
This vehicle has exceeded much of my expectations. I have never owned a jeep before, but I believe that this vehicle suits most of my needs on a daily basis. I enjoy hiking and camping often, for those interest this vehicle has its downsides, but the gas mileage is great for long trips. This vehicle is also comfortable to sit in for long periods of time, as long as an adult is not sitting in the back seat of the vehicle. One negative about the vehicle, is that the floor air does not work as well as I wish it did. It seems to turn on and off, and the majority of the time no air is coming through the bottom. The Bluetooth is also difficult to navigate if there is more than one phone in the car, and for whatever reason I have issues playing podcast through my phone via Bluetooth in the ve... (more)
Story
One of my favorite times in my vehicle was going into the mountains that had snow on the first weekend I bought my car. It handled the windy roads well, and did well in all weather conditions.
Pros
The pros about this car is the gas mileage, along with it not being a vehicle that has to take premium gas. I also enjoy the extra room in the wheel well, to store stuff during long trips. The vehicle is small enough to fit into small parking spaces, but also big enough to not feel as if you are cramped in the vehicle. I believe the audio is outstanding in the vehicle while playing music or using the phone through the stereo. The vehicle has easy notifications when it needs maintenance. I have had no issues with the vehicle with breaking down or not being reliable. The vehicle runs smooth ... (more)
Cons
There are not too many cons about the vehicle. But one con that I would like to see changed is for the vehicle to come with a spare tire. The vehicle comes with a pump, and the pump does have a cartridge for sealing holes in tires, but I believe the vehicle is too light as it does not have a spare tire. Another con about the vehicle is that I would enjoy a little bit more room throughout the back of the vehicle for storage on long trips. And to make it capable for the back seats to slide back a bit to provide more leg and foot space for back seat passengers. Another con, although a safety ... (more)
2016 Jeep Cherokee - Enjoyable to drive.
I currently am driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport. It has a unique design as seen by the seven stripes on the front and "alligator" type body. The black color is classy and sophisticated, which is beneficial for the work environment (frequent driving) and fun for myself and my family. I love the interior, which is all black with bucket seats. The navigation system and Bluetooth for audio is a very nice amenity to have. The Jeep brand is also customizable, which I really enjoy. The performance is good but could be better. I occasionally need to push on the gas harder than I like for acceleration, and it makes me uneasy while merging or on large hills. For an SUV, it is good on fuel. On highway, I get up to 30 miles per gallon and less in the city (where I live). I have a Jeep brand dog ... (more)
Story
We bought our vehicle about 200 miles away from our house, due to the fact that the dealership had good rebates. On our 200-mile drive home, we took the backroads from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh in the middle of the night. It was a great time!
Pros
The best aspects include the exterior and interior of the vehicle and brand customization. I chose the black model of this vehicle, and with the black interior, the car is very stylish and classy. The “alligator” front is unique, and there are not many vehicles with this look. This design definitely stands out in a crowd, bringing a lot of attention from friends and family. The interior really stands out with the cup holders, which light up at night. I also had never owned a car with Bluetooth for music and calls, which has been great for safety. It also decreases the amount of cords clutt... (more)
Cons
I have only owned this vehicle for two weeks, so I do not have a ton of negative reviews at this time. My one complaint is lack of power. I’ve previously owned a BMW, which had a quick pick up and a lot of power. Sometimes, with the Jeep, it takes more gas and a longer time to accelerate from slower speeds or from idle. This is not a huge concern of mine, but it is a change from what I am used to. Another downfall would be fuel economy in the city. My average miles per gallon is 19, which is lower (again) compared to previous vehicles I have driven. Although, highway miles are pretty good,... (more)
