2008 Hyundai Tucson - Decent car for a used car, would not buy new
This car is like a small suv. It has great height so it is not low on the floor like a sedan. However it is very compact, it almost feels like a 4x4. This is not a family car for sure. The back seats can barely fit 3 people, and the 3 people can't be too big. The trunk was very limited. The space can barely fit a luggage bag. With this car, the luggage items have to be stacked on top. The trunk was not a separate part of the car, and was see through. I didn't like it being see through, wished it was at least tinted. However the nice thing about this car was that it came with tinted windows for privacy. 6 years later, Hyundai has issued a recall on this car. It is quite frustrating since the recall is for something serious. Apparently the brakes light don't go on when I stepped on the ... (more)
Pros
My favorite feature on this car is the heating system. Most cars, the heater will only go up to 85 degrees, but with this car, it warms up efficiently. Most importantly, this car's heater can be as warm as 89 degrees if needed. This car is a nice choice when it is snowing. it feels really sturdy when the wind is strong. Also I find that the car does not slide crazy, it could also be a combination of good tires and brakes. The turning signals are really quite and they turn off smoothly. Once I make a right turn, the turn signals are off, so that I don't have to worry about being that person... (more)
Cons
I don't like how the seat warmer function was not adjustable. It was just a button press. I can't make it any less warm or more warm. I found that the preset warmness is not enough. you can barely feel the heat if you are wearing jeans. this car is not oil efficient at all. It takes less gas than a trunk but way more gas than like a Camry. This is the same for highway or just regular roadway. This car was in the shop often. One time it leaked funny smell, it was not a gasoline smell but still very strong. I took it to the shop and they say this is normal. Apparently when the car warms up i... (more)
