Bought the car without test driving it first. I was terrified that I was not going to like how it looks or how it handles. By my surprise, the car handled perfectly, and I thought it looked super cute. The vehicle was not too manly or too girly. It was the perfect fit, so I could drive it, and my husband wouldn't feel like he was in a girls car when he had it as well. I felt like the car handles great. It does not feel like it was too top heavy when going around a turn too fast. Which is great cause I've been in a Ford before taking a sharp turn, and it felt like it was going to tip right over. Never owned a Hyundai, so I was skeptical, but I am very pleased with all aspects of the vehicle. I would love to buy a newer model of this vehicle or even one of their sedans. I am very pleased... Story
One weekend my friend and I took our kids down to the beach for the weekend. The whole trip down there was so much fun. We took so many pictures and sang along with the radio and blared some CDs. It was a great weekend and exhausting. On the way back, the kids were so tired that they passed out and were able to sleep comfortably in the back seats.
Pros
The vehicle had plenty of room. I have a family of four, and there is plenty of room for everyone and for all of the activities that we do. I have a ten year old who plays sports on the weekends, and we are able to carpool and lug all of the equipment needed. I love the look of the vehicle. Styles keep on changing back and forth from curved to a boxy look, and I feel that the look of the Hyundai fits right in the middle. I also have a two years old who is in a booster seat. I love that there is the a metal bar under the seat to make sure the seat is in the car more secure. It makes me feel... (more)
Cons
I just feel like the quality of what they consider their stock vehicle to be is low and would be more suitable for an older-model vehicle. The quality of the radio and the buttons/knobs could have been better. I feel like the ones that it had come with would of been more suitable for an older-model vehicle, like a 2000. Also, I find a lot of other cars have compartments in the back to hold jacks and other tools in case of an accident, and I feel like this vehicle did not have much in that area. There was the space for the spare tire, but that was it. I understand that it is an SUV, and the... (more)

I bought my Tucson while I was shopping around for a car that was going to fit both of my boys, ages one and three, and all the things that come along with children. The Tucson was a simple choice for me. The 5-star safety testing was the first thing that really caught my attention. I also liked the look of a smaller, more compact SUV. While I wasn't completely sure what to expect, Hyundai's compact SUVs have always placed towards the top of my friends' lists. Since the day I bought the car, I have been completely satisfied with my purchase. The maintenance is low cost, the inside is clean and appears sturdy, instead of that flimsy plastic you find the dashboard is made out of in a lot of newer cars. The trunk is huge, and it even has a built in shelf so that you can double stack your ... (more)
Story
With all of the room in the trunk and the back seat, when we purchased our son a new Big Wheel for his birthday, I was able to fold my back seats down and fit the entire box in the back, no struggles. Even the employee that was bringing it outside was surprised how easily it fit into the back with no struggle.
Pros
Aside from the excellent marks in standard safety tests, I really love the overall look of the Tucson. Overall, it's extremely roomy inside. My father is 6' 6", and there's still enough leg room for him on the passenger side. The back seat has more than enough room for my boys' bulky heavy car seats, and there's enough room that we could squeeze in one more. The 4-wheel drive is great to have in our upstate New York winters. One of the unique features is the shelf that you can use or fold in and hide. It's perfect for when I have huge grocery orders. I know that if I stack all of the light... (more)
Cons
The only real complaint I've ever had about the Tucson is that the gas mileage isn't really all that great. Granted, before the Tucson, (and two children) I had a small car that was getting 29 miles to the gallon. So when I switched and began getting 18 miles to a gallon, it was definitely a bit of a shock at first. But, I've since gotten used to it, and compared to some of the other SUVs on the market today, 18 miles probably falls right around the middle somewhere.
