2006 Hyundai Tiburon - Affordable Sporty
This car drives so smooth and has that sports car feel and sound. This car is named after a shark in Spanish and if you really look at it, it does resemble one. It has smooth lines which help with the aerodynamics of the vehicle. Although there is enough room in the front, passengers in the back will always be squished. This vehicle is definitely not for a family with kids that require a car seat, the back is small. On the other hand, the trunk of this car is very roomy. Gas mileage in this vehicle is not that great, but it is a V6, definitely uses more gas than a V4. Another con about this vehicle is how everything is controlled by a button instead of a knob. So if you want to adjust your AC temp you have to turn on the AC itself and push a button until you get to your desired tempera... (more)
Story
This vehicle is just as fun to drive as a Camaro, or Mustang. I remember a newer Mustang wanting to race on a designated drag strip. My Tiburon won.
Pros
The performance of this vehicle is awesome, a sporty feel with out the high price as a typical sports car. As long as this car is maintained, it will not need to be in the shop for anything major. The look of this vehicle is very sport and fits its name. It is indeed fun to drive. Overall, it feels like a very safe car to be in.
Cons
One of the major cons for this vehicle is the gas mileage. It guzzles gas, especially when its time for your maintenance. In trying to keep up with technology the manufacturer put a button for everything instead of knobs to control things separately. The backseat of the vehicle is not very roomy especially for tall people. Another issue I noticed is that the paint in certain areas started to bubble and peel. I am not sure if this is a spread issue with the manufacturer choice in paint for all vehicles. It is not too bad but if you look closely, it is noticeable.
2006 Hyundai Tiburon - It's alright
I bought it as a salvage used title so some things were already wrong with it; I don't know exactly how well the car normally actually works. When I got the car, the radio and speakers didn't work. The car also comes with low profile tires so the car has problems driving on any road that is not dry, like on snow or large amounts of rain. For my first car it has been alright, it gets me one place to another fine. Sadly the A/C doesn't work if the car heat is past the middle on the dial on the dashboard. I had my radio and speakers fixed and randomly my radio stopped working again and ate all my CDs, it had a 6 CD changer and now I'm out of all those CDs I had. My cigarette lighter doesn't work either so no use in trying to charge a phone or something. Black interior is the worst when li... (more)
Story
when i first bought the cari was really excited, it was gorgeous and it was my first car and i was able to pay it all off in one go. the guy who sold it to me was also a mechanic so anytime the car had serious problems i went back to him. I learned how to drive better. I started driving out in the middle of nowhere, around very few cars. I moved to arizona and i have learned how to be extremel... (more)
Pros
It looks sexy and sporty, the seats are really comfortable, it gets me from point A to point B, the A/C is nice when it's working, when my radio was working it had a very good sound system and bass, it had a 6 cd changer, silver is actually a good color for it. Speed and acceleration are great.
Cons
So hard to work on and lots of little problems.
