Hyundai Tiburon Owner Ratings & Reviews

2003 Hyundai Tiburon - GREAT VEHICLE
This vehicle has been great for me as a college student. The look of the car is a definite plus. It is called a Tiburon because of the "shark" look it takes on when the sunroof is open. The curves of the vehicle make for an elegant look. Not only is it sporty though. The Tiburon also has great gas mileage. I am able to afford driving across the state to visit my family at home. It only takes half a tank to make it the 90 mile trip there and back again. I am a softball player as well so I needed a trunk that would accommodate all my softball gear. The back seats fold down to extend the trunk if I need to fit any hitting nets.
Story
This was the car that my friends and I took when we drove out to Missouri for another friends wedding. It got us there and back and let us have a great time while on the road.
Pros
My favorite thing about my vehicle is that the gas mileage is amazing. I can make it all the way home and back without having to stop for gas.
Cons
The negative thing about the Tiburon is the lack of seating. I can only fit four people in my car. The back seats only have two seats.
2004 Hyundai Tiburon - It's an OK car
The Hyundai Tiburon is undeniably cute and sporty, but that alone isn’t enough to base your purchase decision on. Second generation Hyundai Tiburon models were only made from 1997 to 2008, so unfortunately you won’t be able to purchase a brand new model. While Hyundai has not manufactured the vehicle for six years, you can likely find a lightly used model by conducting some research. If you’re willing to travel a bit or have a used model from a distance shipped to you, you’ll increase your chance of finding a great deal. If you’re looking for speed, the V6 model offers impressive pulling power. Drivers have praised the five-speed manual transmission model for its ease of use and handling well in tough situations. However, the tight suspension can make it a bumpy ride.
Pros
Excellent fuel economy, even after 70,000+ miles. The torque, handling and sporty look makes it very fun to drive. High-quality sound system. Six-speed transmission.
Cons
Not highly durable. Owners have reported many small noises and issues after just 60,000 miles. Small backseat makes it difficult to transport many passengers or equipment. Lack of headroom can be uncomfortable for taller drivers. Not many options to adjust the seats.
2001 Hyundai Tiburon - I love this car!
I loved the look of my Tiburon, with a candy apple red finish along with tinted windows you're sure to stand out anywhere you go. I loved the speaker system in the car, the sound was amazing and there was no buzzing like sounds when I turned up the bass. It got pretty good gas mileage at 27 mpg on highway, speaking of gas one thing I really liked was the lever by the driver seat that opened the gas cap cover. I've always liked the hatchback trunk on a coupe/sports car kind of look. I love the circle headlights on the Tiburon, imp not sure why but they go great with the body style of a 2-door coupe. The seats were comfortable and it rode so smooth, it also handled great, not too sensitive but not too stiff, the perfect in between. All in all, it was a great car!
Story
I remember one Tuesday after school back in April of 2014, My classmate and I headed about 20 minutes up the road to get ready for a party but the road was blocked by a fallen tree from a storm earlier that week so instead of finding another road around it, we turned around and drove about a mile back then turned into a field and drove back towards the party and drove pasted the tree on our ri... Pros
The speaker system was one of my favorite things about this car, I loved the way it made the music sound. Another thing was the handling, it was the perfect car for a nice Sunday cruise yet it had horsepower for when you need to pickup some speed and fly.
Cons
The cigarette lighter was hard to get to without having an extender. Also the parts for the car are quite expensive. It sat a little low to the ground, which is normal for a coupe but I've always preferred my cars to sit a little higher than what the Tiburon does.
