2007 Hyundai Sonata - Good car
I like that this car, and it has been quite dependable during my ownership. I have not had any major maintenance issues and have never been left stranded. The brake system seems to require slightly higher than average maintenance and repairs can be somewhat costly, but overall, I think it has been quite durable. The v6 engine has plenty of power but could be better with fuel mileage. This car also gets around quite well in the winter in snowy and icy conditions.
Story
I once took a random camping trip without a particular plan before departure. I packed all of my camping gear into the car, and we ended up beside a mountain lake in Maine. It was beautiful.
Pros
The interior is spacious. Some of the options that my model came with make it feel somewhat luxurious. For instance, heated seats, leather, radio controls and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. The safety features are nice as well and help me save some money on car insurance.
Cons
Brake maintenance is required regularly, and it can be somewhat costly. The 17" tires seem to be somewhat of an odd size, making them somewhat expensive as well. The gas mileage isn't very good compared to some other midsize sedans.
2010 Hyundai Sonata - A safe, affordable vehicle.
I have been driving my 2007 Hyundai Sonata for the past six years, and I am hoping to drive it for another six! This car has been incredibly reliable and suitable for my needs. Although I mostly just used my car to get to work and back, I have also used it on long road trips, and it has always been reliable. I have never had any major, expensive issues with this car. Just the normal wear and tear. The only negative I could possibly think of is that it is getting old and does not come equipped with the more advanced cameras/sound systems!
Story
Driving my car on a road trip with friends from Pennsylvania to Iowa. It was a long journey, and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about taking my car on a ten-hour trip, but it ended up being so fun and memorable!
Pros
Reliable, safe, inexpensive to repair.
Cons
Dated look, lacking in modern features.
