2013 Hyundai Sonata - Just okay.
Overall, the Sonata has been an okay car. I wouldn't label this as an awesome car nor would I call this a terrible car. It has great gas mileage, looks good, and drives smooth. However, there are some issues with standard maintenance. We have needed more maintenance in general on this car than we have on any other car we have owned.
Story
My husband's ex-wife thought that our car was so awesome, she bought the same one -- which led their daughter to get incredibly confused when we were parked next to each other!
Pros
The gas mileage is by far the best part of this car. Highway mileage is outstanding and the main reason for our purchase of this car. It is also very roomy for being a good gas mileage smaller car. My husband is 6'2" and needed a more compact car that got great gas mileage, and out of all the similar cars in this class that he tried, this was by far the roomiest for his tall frame.
Cons
The upkeep on this car has been awful. We have replaced brakes, rotors, and bearings more than we ever have on a car. It seems to wear much quicker than our Jeep or our previous cars (another Jeep and a Saturn).
2013 Hyundai Sonata - Great car!
This car is great! I got the gray Sonata SE edition due to the wheels and the increased horse power and haven't regretted it since! The wheels are way better than the standard model. They actually have some personality to them! Also, the horse power is above most cars for that class, price range and gas mileage. Getting into that, the price is great as well. At the time that I bought it, it was around $22,000—after you negotiate it down with financing at .5%. You cant beat that, especially when they give you $500 to take out the loan! Furthermore, I get around 35 mpg average. You sometimes see up to 40 mpg, and can dip down to around 25 in the winter, but both extremes are fairly rare. Story
We took my car tailgating at concerts. You can fit in chairs, several people , coolers, beer, ice, cups, etc. It makes it super easy to tailgate. You can even probably fit in the pong table, alternative clothes, etc.! We even managed to get in our tent for this trip. The trip was awesome!
