2005 Hyundai Elantra - Reliable.
The vehicle gets me from A to B. Nothing more, nothing less. There are no bells or whistles to this car. I have had minimal work done, which is nice. The car may have been elegant back in 2005, but not so much for 2018. The Hyundai brand has been very good to me, reliable and dependent. If you're looking for a good looking car, this is probably not the one. If you're looking for an easy car, with low maintenance, to reliably get you to and from work - this car is the one!
Story
I took a road trip in this car with my wife and 2 kids. Memorable, yes. Fun, not so much. Not huge storage, but it worked!
Pros
Besides basic maintenance, I have not had to invest a lot of money into this car. It handles wonderfully, and I can maneuver like a pro. Sunroof is amazing, and I've had no problem with it. This car has been reliable to me!
Cons
I don't feel as safe in the vehicle due to its size and age. It is low to the ground, and I feel that a side collision would kill me. The summer heat and sun have left the dashboard cracked. Paint chipped on the outside. Headlights fogged up. Inside door handles broke. The car is 12+ years old, and these things are going to happen. Not much room to store a full size spare in the trunk w/o taking up much room.
2013 Hyundai Elantra - great family car
my wife and I bought this car because we wanted something that was dependable and had a good resell value. we had a CRV in the past and really liked it so that is the reason that we really wanted to get a new cry. overall we have been very pleased with how well it has help up. we have driven it across the country a few times so far and it has been really good so far.
Story
nope. just drive it around town and to the beach. great car.
Pros
pros of this car are that it has really good gas mileage. I can sometimes get close to 40 mpg on the freeway. it is only rated for 31 mpg on the freeway, but I have been really pleased with that so far, besides the gas mileage I really like the size of the car. it is small enough to get into tight places, but big enough if you need to pick something up from the hardware store. I have been really pleased with the car so far
Cons
the only con of the car I can think of is that it is not a hybrid electric car. I don't think this is a legitimate con, but I thin that would be an awesome feature. the only other negative is that the user interface is very simple and I wish I could play some movies on the screen in the center console. but I don't think any of these are real cons. we love the car!
