2010 Hyundai Elantra - My Car
I purchased a 2010 Hyundai Elantra in 2010. The car was brand new when I bought it. It was recommended to me by my dad. He had a 2007 Hyundai Accent and sold it to me prior to purchasing the 2010 Elantra. I was able to trade in my Accent for $900 for the Elantra. The Hyundai brand is a great car. It has a 100,000/10 year warranty which is rare. The engine is known to be comparable to a Honda or Toyota. The interior of the car is not made with the best materials, however it is still good quality. I think they spent less on the interior to put more quality in the engine. This is a very spacious car. It can fit 5 people. The trunk is also very spacious. The rear seats go down so you have more trunk space. I have had my car for 6 years now and it only has 47,000 miles. I've ... (more)
Story
It was fun when I first got the car. It only had 1,000 miles on it. It was my first brand new car purchase. Driving it around and showing my friends what I had accomplished was fun.
Pros
The most positive thing is the 100,000 mile/10 year warranty. You never know when a major mechanical problem may happen. If your transmission goes out on year 9, it is covered by your warranty. That is a great, secure feeling to know you're covered. I also like the fact that Hyundai has special loans for people like me who have bad credit.
Cons
There's really nothing negative about this car but I would have to say the interior is not as great quality as it could be. However, I'd trade that for a better engine any day. Another con would be the customer service. Hyundai does not have the best customer support when making a late payment. They have no tolerance for that and are not willing to work with you at all with late payments.
2013 Hyundai Elantra - Elantra - efficient reliability,
Overall it is offers a good-sturdy affordable and dependable environmentally friendly car that hold up in most conditions, making it a great value car for all ages. While also providing excellent additional features. As far as comfort of the Elantra it is generally pretty comfortable and allows for manual repositioning, except on longer commutes or when taking longer trips, the positioning of the seat makes it somewhat uncomfortable to reach the steering wheel and there is no good place to rest arms when driving. The overall look or style of the car is acceptable in appearance. It’s not showy, but also not too traditional and still feels a little modern in an appealing shade of gray/silver. Although the color of interior seats and walls could be more dynamic and appealing or use an upg... (more)
Story
I enjoyed using the vehicle to drive to the beach in Malibu, using the Bluetooth feature built into the car. It made the trip relaxing listening to the music while I drove smoothly around the mountains.
Pros
The Elantra is steady reliable and dependable on the road. It also provides an eco-friendly driving mode that stretches gas usage, making it highly efficient on the road. It drives and handles smoothly on roads. The Bluetooth feature is very dynamic. The seat warmers are one of the best features.
Cons
The seat comfort and positioning needs improvement, as there is no good place to rest arm, as it lacks two arm rests and the middle console sits low.
The front bumper sits too low.
The car requires extra horsepower to quickly change speeds.
The rear window is small and narrow.
The trunk space doesn’t allow for really large, long, or tall items as the sides are partially blocked when the seats are laid down.
