2010 Hyundai Elantra - Wish I had never bought this car!!!
I wish I had never bought this car. At first look, and after multiple test drives, I thought this was the car for me. I was sadly mistaken! Even with regular maintenance, I have nothing but problems with this car. I've replaced the front left wheel bearing three times, costing me nearly $1,000. Even the dealership that sold me the car can't figure out why this keeps happening. I've had two recalls on different parts of this car.
Story
I've had some wonderful roadtrips in this car. However, this has more to do with the company I was with, than the car.
Pros
Very good gas mileage. Anywhere from 23-30 mpg. This, sadly, is the only pro I have on my list.
Cons
Not comfortable in the slightest. Back seat has very little leg room, even for a car of this size.
Constantly in the shop, even though I baby this car.
Build quality is absolutely terrible. Clips holding a small grill on the front of the car mysteriously broke, among many other build quality problems.
2014 Hyundai Elantra - Elantra
I have white, 2014 Hyundai Elantra. I purchased the car in February of 2013 when my former car started to give me trouble. I test drove the Elantra and really liked it from the start. It got great gas mileage, about 40 miles to the gallon on the interstate, and had the bells and whistles that I wanted such as a USB connector for an iPod. I have now had the Elantra for over four years, and I have not had any substantial issues with it other than routine maintenance. There are no rattles in the car, and it still drives great around town and on the highway. I would definitely purchase this car again if given the opportunity. Story
Taking my car on trips through the mountains and to the beach is great! It is rare, but I enjoy taking my car on long trips by myself. I like to just set the cruise control and ride while listening to whatever I want to on the radio. The sound system is good, and I can really relax on a long trip by myself.
Pros
The major pro to the Elantra is the gas mileage. Getting close to 40 miles per gallon on the interstate is a huge perk for me. Also, the car is very low maintenance. The dealership has been great with routine maintenance and helps me to keep up with what is needed for my car.
Cons
I would say that the first con that I noticed was the car did not come with a spare tire. I thought that spares were pretty standard and did not ask when I was purchasing the car if it came with one. I did not realize until I had a flat tire one day that the vehicle did not have a spare. Another con would be the size. This really has nothing to do with the car itself, since it is the size they make it, but my family is growing, and I might need something bigger.

2012 Hyundai Elantra - Jim Burke Hyundai Birmingham
I was able to get in and get the car that I was looking for quickly and at a price that I was willing to pay. They were able to really work hard to get good financing terms on the vehicle that I was purchasing as well as a good price on my trade in. The staff was knowledgeable about the product that they were selling as well as competitive products. Overall great experience.
