2005 Hyundai Elantra - Dependable economical ride.
The Hyundai Elantra is a very dependable vehicle. Over the years of having this ride, I have fallen in love with the Hyundai. There are a few flaws but nothing major. The quality of this car is par to none. Hyundai is a great vehicle.
Story
Driving to Texas was a fun, memorable experience. Lots of sights seen and lots of memorable experiences with the family.
Pros
Gas mileage is great. Performance. Reliability. Design. Interior design. The gas mileage is phenomenal. The body style is sleek and fresh. The interior is comfortable enough for those long rides or travels. I like the Hyundai also because these cars are actually very affordable. Well, at least the Elantra is at the year I have mine -- which is a 2005. Kind of old, but as they say, "the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice." With the way the car was put together by the genius minds over at Hyundai, mechanical issues are not as costly. I rarely have to do any work on my car. The overall p... (more)
Cons
The paint fades easily stock, not just on mine, but on most I have seen in that year.
2006 Hyundai Elantra - Pretty good car!
The vehicle was purchased used from an older woman. She had taken pretty good care of it and it was low mileage. We liked the low mileage part best! It is a solidly built vehicle, 4 doors and has served us well. It has been reliable. That is what I want most in a car!
Story
We went from having large family Expedition and a mom van to this car as our children left the house for college. It became affectionately known as "baby car" being so much smaller!
Pros
t has enough room for my family members, who are 6+ feet tall and we have enough room in the front and the rear seats. There is enough headroom for us. It's not bad on gas mileage either.
Cons
There is nothing flashy about this car. That might be the only con I can think of, for some people. I don't mind that at all, personally. Oh, and there have been a couple of recalls, which have been kind of a pain. It seems like that is pretty standard with all cars these days, though.
