Overall, I really like my car. I have had no problems with it. Right now my car has almost 100,000 miles (so my Power Train Warranty is about to expire) but I haven't had any problems with it. I think the fuel economy has been really good. The car is very comfortable to sit in for long drives. The car is small enough that it is very easy to park. The trunk is very roomy and the seats fold down easily so I have been able to transport a surprising amount of things in it going back and forth to IKEA. The thing I dislike most about the car is the design; it's ugly. Right now the tire sensor is broken, which is annoying but not the worst thing. Also any time the temperature drops I will have to put air in the tires because the sensor is so sensitive.
Story
The craziest thing I have done in my car was move across the country with two cats in my car. Sigh. My boyfriend and I both had to drive our individual cars to our new state, which was across the country. So we got walkie-talkies and were able to talk most of the time which was really nice. But, the poor cats were so upset to be driving 16+ hours in the car so for the first four hours the yowl... (more)
Pros
I haven't had any major problems with the car. It is very comfortable to sit in for long drives, which I have found is not true in a lot of other cars. I love the heated seats. The maintenance is inexpensive. I love the warranty it came with and this was one of the major reasons I bought the car. It has a 100,000 mile Power Train warranty and I really wanted a car that was going to last. Having the car for a long time and fuel economy were the two major things I was looking for, and I found them both with the Elantra. I was also very impressed by the safety award the Elantra got. Cons
Hyundai lied about the MPG when I bought the car. The acceleration is slower than I would like. The car has a very sharp atheistic and it's generally ugly. I have also had A LOT of problems with the sensors that measure tire pressure. Whenever the temperature drops in the fall and into the winter the tire pressure sensor always goes crazy and I have to pump up my tires.

I purchased this vehicle off my father when he was upgrading to a new car. Overall, it is okay. I would imagine that if he had taken care of it more then it would be a better car. However, when I received it, it had 250,000 miles on it, the brakes were worn down, the tires had no trim on them, and the car would not start once it received gas. However, I have since repaired the car and taken care of those issues. Now, the car is performing wonderfully and it drives nicely. It is the GT edition so it has a little extra kick that I was not used to before. What I like is that the car is very powerful, if a little old. I also like that it came with a Bluetooth stereo system in the car, and the audio is very good as well. I enjoy connecting my phone to the stereo and listening to all of my f... (more)
Story
I cannot think of anything in particular. However, the most amount of fun I have in this car is when I'm driving on the beltway in DC and I can cruise through traffic while listening to music.
Pros
Positives: I really enjoy the car's stereo system. I also like the Bluetooth functionality, and I like how much power the car has.
Cons
When I received the car, it was in very bad shape. I had to do a lot of work to repair it. There's still more work to be done that's not really worth it- like repairing the leather in the seat.

I liked that the dealership was large with modern amenities and was very spacious and pleasing to the eye. The sales people did not use high pressured sales and I could tell that the salesman was actually trying to find the right car for me that was a perfect fit rather than trying to push expensive options on me. I read some of the other yelp experiences, but my experience was a positive one with great customer service.

I wouldn't really say it was the best dealer, but the salesman was well-informed and I had originally researched the car beforehand, so I knew what I wanted coming in. They were a bit pushy towards purchasing, but they do try to make you feel at ease about their numbers. Good experience, but like any dealership, they will try to sell you a bunch of add-ons and services that you may not really need. Very good at keeping in touch and answering questions you may have before and after purchasing.
