My car is really great. I love that it has a place to charge your phone, and auxiliary cord outlet and a cd player. The car has a really great sound system which is very important to me and while driving in my car I never have to worry about my phone dying. I also like the way the car drives. The gas pedal works very well and I like the amount of pressure you have to put on the gas and brakes. It's a very good amount. I also appreciate the shocks on the car, I live in Maine and it does just fine with bumps. The car has great mileage and I only fill up once a week at a great price. The outside of the care is really great too. It's black, sleek and sexy. I've had many compliments on the car and many people asking me where I got it. The seats are very comfortable and the inside is just as... (more)
Story
Driving really fast on a straight-away marked 65mph listening to really loud music.
Pros
The best parts about the car are it's looks and it's feel. The car has been through a lot and was used when I purchased it. Yet it still looks brand new on the outside and extremely sexy. The outside is a sleek black, and no matter how many Maine muddy places it drives through or Icy, snowy winters it goes through, it always ends up looking brand new with a little wash. I'm very impressed with the over outside look of the car and like how good I look driving in it. The inside is great as well though. I love being able to drive my boyfriend or friends around and having them say "wow there i... (more)
Cons
The car won't last as long as a Toyota. The number of miles you can put on it is still good but it will not last as long as my previous car. I notice that sometimes after long trips like driving from Maine to Ohio the car's engine light will appear. This scares me because it happens every single time. But after one day after the big trip it always seems to just go away. I've heard of other people having little problems like this with their Hyundai's as well. I personally think since it only happens after long trips that these cars just don't do well with long trips. I think this type of ca... (more)

I have a white Hyundai Elantra (2009). I bought it brand new and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I loved the Hyundai warranty that came with it, and every Hyundai car, because its one of the best warranties a manufacturer offers. It has not had any severe, or minute, issues since I bought it. It is a great compact car with a pretty large trunk. It is able to fit 2 small suitcases AND a stroller! It is really easy and smooth to drive, especially for the price point. The only thing I kind of dislike about the car is the interior. I am not a huge fan of how the dashboard is laid out. That is a personal preference, but the buttons aren't exactly "stylish" and I think that some knobs and buttons could be rearranged for a better looking interior.
Story
My friends and I were going camping around where I live and it had rained a couple days beforehand, but I didn't think it would still be muddy. Once we got close to our location, it was all off road without any type of gravel or concrete to drive on. The plantar is NOT 4 wheel drive so I don't know how my friends and I could drive through to our camping spot, but we had tried it and sure enoug... (more)
Pros
The price and the warranty are the best things about this vehicle. They were fairly cheap for the quality of the car. There have not been any engine or mechanical issues since I have bought the car, which was 6 years ago! The parts for the car, if there ever was an issue, are pretty cheap as well. This car is a perfect example of the fact that just because you pay a small amount of money doesn't mean you aren't getting a quality product! My favorite feature on the car is the gas tank door locks and there is a pull level located on the bottom side of the drivers seat and that is the only wa... (more)
Cons
The top negative thing about this car, like I said in the previous paragraph, is the interior. The more and more I have used the car, I have realized that for me personally, some of the buttons and knobs could be rearranged to suit myself better. I also feel like some of the buttons could have been designed to be more "stylish" looking. While I did like the idea of having the 3 larger knobs on the bottom of the dashboard because it was a different look than most cars have now, I have come to find that they aren't easily reachable when you are driving and don't want to look away from the ro... I remember being excited when I told my dad about the car. It was white, shiny and looked good on the outside. I should have known that would be misleading. After a month of owning the vehicle, the radiator blew. Yes blew, not just cracked. It blew up. So my dad replaced it, along with all the hoses, belts, break pads, spark plugs and oil leaks. Thinking that after putting a couple thousand into it would be the end of it, we were wrong. It continued to have problems. After owning the car for eight years, we have had to fully replace the radiator a hand full of times and the front axle once, and it still has some type of problem that no mechanic can figure out. I do like it because it is my first and only car, but I really should have not gone by looks. I should have gone by mechanical ... (more)
Story
Packing my car full of items needed for a Christmas party for work and then having to pick up two of my coworkers. They had to sit on top of each other with the person on top holding a hot plate. When we pulled up, we were the joke of the party, but everyone was impressed by how much stuff we were able to fit in my tiny car.
Pros
The pros to my Elantra are that it has a wide trunk space with plenty of room to store things when I travel. It also fits my four dogs with ease. It has bright lights that work great. When it is in working condition, it works like a champ, letting me rev it up to 100 MPH with ease. There aren't any shakes when driving on the highway. The power steering also comes in handy when turning.
Cons
It tends to overheat causing radiator and engine problems. Due to the placement of the gas tank hose and oil lines, there tends to be a lot of leaks that are hard to fix. The turn radius is bad and can lead to popping out the axle when trying to make a tight turn.
