Hyundai Accent Owner Ratings & Reviews

2009 Hyundai Accent - Solid car (literally).
Overall, this car was definitely up there with one of the better cars I've owned. As a twenty-something male when I bought this car, this was not what I ever imagined myself to be driving -- a tiny, dinky black Hyundai Accent hatchback. But, surprisingly enough, it was actually a pretty comfortable and smooth ride!
Story
Fixing the ignition coils -- I was quoted almost $600 from a mechanic to replace two of them. Called my friend up, and he said to buy them at Auto Zone and he'll show me how to do it . 100 bucks and 35 minutes later, I was $500 in the bank. So proud of myself for that.
Pros
The biggest shocker of this car to me was the durability of the vehicle itself. Not long-lasting, though I'm sure it would have. But the physical durability of it. I wrecked it by hitting a full-size pick-up truck while doing 60 miles per hour. Smashed right in to the back end of it. I always thought if I were in a wreck with that little mobile, that I would have died. I was at work four hours after my accident. The car was absolutely totaled and destroyed... but it definitely saved me. I couldn't believe my luck.
Cons
Foreign parts -- expensive to fix and replace. Odd sizes on certain things, and odd placements for others. Both door handles ended up falling off, almost one after another. It was near impossible to find replacements that were similar to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Also, the ignition coils started to go out at around 80,000 miles. Not terrible though. I broke my car mechanic cherry on this car and started doing a lot of my own work on it, and I was very proud of myself and the accomplishments I made.
2016 Hyundai Accent - Missing simple key features.
It is simple but almost too simple. For a newer car model, I didn't even think to ask the dealer if the keys could open the trunk, but they don't. You have to manually open the truck with the key; there is no button. The center console is very small and has no sun glass holder (something I didn't think I'd miss from my old car). There is an eco feature, which I really like and notice I am saving gas. However, I am fueling up just as often as when I had a sports car. It doesn't hold much gas in the car. So while you save money overall, you have to refuel often. This is a compact car and is small. As someone who is 5'2", this doesn't bother me. However, my boyfriend, who is 6'1", cannot get comfortable. The seats are stiff and not very comfortable in long trips. The truck has a surprisin... (more)
Story
I have taken this car to the beach. While at first, I didn't think it would be a nice beach car. However, it is the perfect beach car. Parking is difficult to find at New Smyrna on a nice day. In this car, you can easily fit into tight spaces, which gives you the upper hand in finding parking.
Pros
Good on gas. Good value. Bluetooth. Compact -- easy to park.
Cons
Uncomfortable seats. You have to manually open the trunk. Doesn't hold much gas.

The Villages, FL Dealer Ratings & Reviews

2008 Hyundai Tiburon - Brandon Hyundai Tampa
Everyone working here from sales to service is friendly and helpful. The Wesley Chapel dealership I'd say is closer, but I almost always bring my car in here because of this.
2016 Hyundai Elantra - Orlando Hyundai
Friendly sales staff that doesn't act pushy or rude. Always good service at the service department, never a long wait and willing to answer questions you may have after the work is done.
