This car is one of the smallest I've ever had but it still is able to pick up and pass some larger slower moving vehicles on major highways. There is plenty of leg room in the front and the back and overall the comfort level is very good. I have made numerous 8 hour trips with the car and never feel uncomfortable while sitting. The gas mileage is terrific but not if I use the AC. However, right off the bat I had several sever mechanical issues with the car. It had to towed three times within the first six months of my ownership. All repairs were covered under the extended warranty that I purchased but If I hadn't purchased it I would have paid almost $3000. Even with those issues I have to say I enjoy driving the car. The car did very nicely last winter in the significant amount of sn... (more)
Story
I recently had started a new job in a bordering state. We were being set up for a significant blizzard. I drove to work before the snow started and I brought with me all the gear needed to sleep in my car if necessary. I spent the night and was comfortable and stayed warm by turning on the heater every so often.
Pros
My favorite things about this car is the comfort level in all seats and the gas mileage. I am able to fill up the car about one and a half times a week. I work about 35 miles from where I live and spend a lot of time driving it. However, if I use the AC a lot on the longer trips my gas mileage is really not so good. All seats in the car are very comfortable. And surprisingly roomy for such a small car. I took a trip down the shore with a friend, 3 kids and all of our beach gear. We fit nicely in the front and back seats and all gear stowed nicely in the trunk.
Cons
The negative things about this vehicle have been the repairs it has needed. Within 3 days of owning the car I had to have it towed because the starter went on me. Within 3 months I had to have it towed again because the check engine light came on and wouldn't start. Three months after that I had to have it towed again because the check engine light came on and it started flashing. All repairs were covered by the warranty that I purchased however I feel that since this car is not that old that the amount repairs is significant. Since the warranty has ended I have not had to pay for any repa... (more)

I've had this guy for about 10 months now and have put over 20,000 miles on it. I tend to get between 32 and 38 mpg depending on if I do more city or highway driving. I love the armrest on the front driver side seat, but have had passengers complain about lack of passenger side arm rest. I think the cup-holders could be moved forward just a hair to avoid being directly under the arm rest, but they are adequately sized. This car is easy to park, because of size, but I have not heard complaints about roominess and I have been able to pack quite a bit of stuff into this car. The car packs a good amount of power for the fuel efficiency and size and I have no trouble with driving in high speed interstate traffic. The hatchback version does have some annoying blind spots which are slightly m... (more)
Story
I live and work off of dirt roads, so my car tends to look adorably misaligned to the task of off road driving; especially when it tends to be surrounded by big muddy Jeeps. I ended up calling him Joel (like from the video game The Last of Us), cause he's a tough survivor that I can count on anywhere.
Pros
Peppy engine for size Tons of audio input options Fuel Efficient Driver comfort Trunk space Blind Spot Mirror
Cons
Blind Spots Low ground clearance Slightly off cup holder placement

My experience overall has been very pleasant while owning this vehicle. It's performed very reliably since day one and I've only had to have it serviced for regular maintenance check ups. Gas mileage is great, which makes this a very good vehicle for those on a limited income. While it doesn't include as many fancy or high tech features as some similar sized more expensive models it can certainly provide you with a very affordable car that is a great first time purchase particularly for a young adult receiving their first automobile. One thing I do dislike however is the cramped seating space and somewhat small trunk size which makes it difficult if you're going to be hauling a lot of children around from a sports game or taking the whole family out to dinner in it. It can also be a bi... (more)
Story
When taking a trip to visit my in-laws for a birthday celebration. We had a wonderful ride and even took the time to do a little exploring on some back roads.
Pros
Very good on gas mileage, good fuel economy in town and highway.
Cons
Seating space is a bit cramped and trunk space could be bigger. Also if you're tall it can be a bit difficult to see without having the seats adjusted to their lowest setting. Doesn't have the most comfortable interior or leg room.
