The Honda S2000 is an amazing convertible and turns heads everywhere! This convertible is sporty and fun to drive. It has a very short shift throw which makes for a racecar-like drive. It is extremely pleasing to the eye and has sexy, sporty lines. Although the car is almost ten years old, it still looks completely modern look. My model is a beautiful blue color with a blue interior that is also very modern. The interior is minimalist, which I like. It may be lacking some of the modern-day amenities such as satellite radio and Bluetooth hook-up for a phone connection; however, this car is about the driving experience! However, it does have an automatic convertible top. This is the one modern amenity that is very useful on a day-to-day basis. And, anyways, driving isn't all about comfor... (more)
Story
I have a memory of driving the Honda s2000 up Mount Washington! The hill was so steep we thought we ran out of gas but it was just the incline!
Pros
My favorite things about this car are: - the sporty drive - the hip hugging seats - the push-button start - the automatic convertible top - the volume controls - the mute button control for the radio - the CD player - the way the stereo is hidden from sight - the color options
Cons
There are not a lot of cons for the Honda S2000! It is such a perfect beautiful car. However, if I was forced to describe a con, it would have to be that the size can not accommodate a family. So, it might be necessary to have this as an extra vehicle if you have a family. Otherwise, with no family, it should fit all your needs just fine!

This is not a car for the timid. Well, it could be but it shouldn't be. This is one of the best performance cars ever made, seat of the pants and statistically, and is best in the hands of a real "driver". That is, someone who knows how to drive a car to its limits of performance. Even so, provided one can drive a manual shift car, anyone can enjoy this car. The Honda S2000 is a masterpiece of automotive engineering, a two seat wonder of balance, beauty and workmanship with, until recently, the most horsepower per liter of any vehicle made and one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any vehicle ever made. It really should be for "real drivers only"...But it doesn't have to be. It is the most fun a driver can have in a car short of an exotic and it is dependable. It's a Honda!
Story
This is a car that gets attention, but is not "loud". I was astounded when at the store and a somewhat newer Porsche pulled up, the driver complimented me on the car and proceeded to ask a number of very specific questions. In the end they were very clear. They wanted one. In fact, they wanted mine! (Yes, I considered a straight-up trade but they didn't quite go there).
Pros
50/50 Weight distribution 270 hp out of a small, light, high revving four cylinder engine Quality of workmanship is superb Clean, enduring style Unparalleled handling Dependability Inexpensive for the package Only car where other owners of the same car acknowledge each other when driving (with a hand wave, like with motorcycle riders)
Cons
Small; not built carry much of anything besides the two occupants Convertible can be undesirable in poor weather Can test comfort endurance during long road trips Low slung, can be problematic on poor road Can get carried away customizing the car Not the best gas mileage for a very small car

I absolutely love my s2000 and lusted for one for five years before finally getting one. I got it from the second owner with full service history and a clean record at 30,000 miles. I just hit 78,000 and have absolutely no problems. From enjoying canyon roads at 9k rpm screaming around to just putting around town -- it does it all. I wanted the best sports car that wouldn't ruin me by daily driving it, and I knew getting a Honda would be key to that. Even if something were to go wrong, parts prices are cheap for such a car, even more so compared to a BMW z3/z4 and the like. Performance: 240hp from an NA 2l 4cy and a 9k RPM redline. Yes! It was the most powerful NA engine per liter from when it was introduced to just a few years ago. Sure, there are turbo'd cars that push more power, bu... (more)
Story
Driving up PCH to Santa Barbra with the top down and the engine wailing. The wind was in my hair, the engine was singing its 7k rpm song, and the tunes were lifting me up the coast. As a young, single, male -- you only have once chance to live and breathe like that before you find yourself at forty -- deep in the throws of a midlife crisis and trying to hide your lack of hair with nice clothes... Pros
Engine. 9k redline. Cheap maintenance. The engine note. MPG (good if you aren't racing, 25ish without trying). Value. Seriously, you can drive one of these for a few years, and at worst, sell it for what you paid. Already have had offers 25%+ higher than what I paid for it with 50k less miles.
Cons
Maintenance scheduled is tighter than an average commuter car MPG. If you are redlining and honing, it can get as low as 8mpg. Not predictable at the limit of grip.
