2012 Honda Odyssey - Awesome family car!
I love my Honda Odyssey. In fact this is the second Odyssey that I have owned and I would not buy a different car right now since I have young children. I think the car is designed for working and busy moms, and especially for moms who may be carrying children in their arms when they are trying to get in the car! It is spacious and comfortable, easy to open the doors (including the trunk) and it has decent fuel efficiency. This model that I have now is more sleek than my previous model, and I like that a lot. It may not accelerate as fast as smaller cars, or turn as fast as my husband's Camaro, but I don't want or need it to. I am driving with kids in the car.
Story
Since the car is pretty tall, we decided to go to the top of the stadium where we live for the last fireworks, and my kids climbed on top of the car with their friends and sat and watched the fireworks. They had a blast, and when they wanted a snack, they all came and sat in the back. We put all the seats down in the back and laid a blanket down and made a picnic for them.
Pros
My favorite things about the car are that you can remotely open both rear doors when your kids need to get in, and you can remotely enter the trunk for when you need to put your groceries in the back. I love that it is easy for my kids to open the door with just the flick of the handle. The trunk space is very practical as well and spacious. And the fuel economy is really not bad, much better than my 2010 Odyssey. Also, I LOVE that you can lay down all of the back seats if you need a lot of transport space! Cons
If I had to pick something I did not like, I would say that it does not have the best pick up, but I realize it is a larger car. And one of the plastic parts in the trunk fell off, but the dealer ordered me a new piece at no cost.
2010 Honda Odyssey - Great family vehicle!
It was a great vehicle to purchase for our family. It meets all of our needs and expectations in terms of reliability and comfort.
Story
Taking family vacations to other states have been very comfortable, and the vehicle itself is very nice to drive for long trips. The children can watch the DVD with their headsets while the front passengers can listen to different media independently. That makes our road trips even better!
Pros
Comfortable leather seating throughout, entertainment package with DVD player.
Cons
The side door repeatedly sticks and won't always close/open properly, which can be extremely inconvenient when dropping off kids in car lines, etc.
