We bought our Odyssey used from friends. We needed a bigger car because we were expecting our 4th baby and couldn't fit four kids in our old car. Despite high mileage and some issues that have come with that, it's overall been a good choice for our family since we couldn't afford anything newer.
Story
One time there was a blackout, so the kids and I retreated to the Odyssey for AC and screen time until the power came back on.
Pros
The AC has worked great, which is important because it can get really hot where we live. The DVD player has been a lifesaver on long drives with the kids, even though they fight over what to watch. The leather seats are easy to wipe clean of messes. The trunk is roomy enough to fit a large stroller, three scooters and helmets, and still have room for groceries. Ask me how I know!
Cons
The sliding doors have given us lots of problems. They often need to be helped along to close those last few inches or they keep opening back up. One window got stuck rolled down and had to be fixed. We had to get the suspension fixed because when we got it was very bouncy. Most of the problems we've had are probably just due to the age of the vehicle and the high number of miles on it.

The 2007 Honda Odyssey is probably the best used and multipurpose van out there. Ever since I bought it, I've used it to take people to the airport and sometimes to go to work and even did a little bit of Lyft picking of passengers, etc. Also, it is a great alternative to a truck. If you take out the backseats, there is actually a lot of space to put your lumber or any supplies needed to do any construction or home improvement job. The best thing about it is that you don't have tie anything down if you can put it in the back...unlike the truck. You have to put it on the roof and tie it down, which makes it a bit dangerous if you are not careful. But the best thing about this van is the reliability. It has never broke on me once.
Story
When we went to the beach, we didn't have a bike rack to put our bikes in, so we just put all of our bikes in the back of the van. It was fun because we didn't have to tie anything down, which made it a very smooth and enjoyable ride for us.
Pros
Utility vehicle with lots of uses. Comfortable seatings. Lots of space. Reliable.
Cons
The trim and design might be unattractive to some people. It is a bit bulky and can take a lot of garage space.

They were professional. The sales associates were prompt in assisting me and treated me well. If they didn't actually care about me, they were doing a good job of hiding it. Also, the prices on many of the used cars were very reasonable. I was also able to haggle with the dealer on the price a little bit, but I ultimately didn't buy the car.
