2006 Honda Odyssey - Great vehicle, very strong and sturdy!
The Honda Odyssey has a great feel at the wheel. It drives smoothly, and brakes extremely well. I believe that the build quality is great, for I have taken it on long, extended trips, which involve an incredible amount of driving in a short amount of time, and this car has held up! I've had no major problems, despite making it past the 100,000 mile marker. I like the seating plan; it packs in a large number of people while remaining fairly roomy. I believe that the fuel economy is fairly good as well, certainly above the level of many of the cars I've had previously. Ultimately, it's a great car.
Story
I once went on a family trip to New Jersey, driving all the way from Michigan. During that nine hour drive, the car had no problems at all, and I was able to bond more closely with my family members (whom I do not normally speak much with).
Pros
One of the best things about the vehicle is the seating. The car packs in eight people, though the center row has a removable seat that can free up a bit of space. The seats are extremely comfortable, as well, and all sorts of adjustments to their angles can be made. The Honda is also great for doing window-mounted bird photography, because the driver's control of all of the windows allows for the winding up and down of the windows on both sides of the car, depending on which direction the light is shining and where the birds are. Cons
The worst part about using this vehicle is the trunk size, which is a little small for my tastes. However, the back seat can be put down in order to help with this. I also wish that the car had a better sound system; it doesn't allow for any iPod hookups or charging.
2012 Honda Odyssey - Great family vehicle
Overall, I loved this Honda Odyssey because it is spacious and capable of moving great distances effectively. It may not be the sexiest car, but it gets the job done. I wish it looked better and less of a soccer mom's car. I think it is a great car though especially if you have a large family.
Story
I remember driving this car in a particularly sandy area near Lake Michigan, and it performed pretty well.
Pros
It is spacious and fits up to six or seven people comfortably in the car. It also is durable, and I rarely have had any problems with it in the past few years. It also does not feel like a large car and drives comfortably. It is capable of traveling long distances with very few problems.
Cons
This car does not look too well. It looks like a bit clunky and slow. Additionally, it tends to be outdated, especially regarding its lack of any real technology besides the radio. It definitely isn't a sexy car. However, the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
