Honda Fit Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2012 Honda Fit - Sporty, Young Adult-focused, Small but powerful
Only being a couple years old, under 70K miles, with one previous owner, I expected it to have minimal issues. The exterior is red as a Honey crisp apple, free of dents (except the intended artistic indentations). The wheels are very dark, seemingly taut, and molded in a way to weather a heavy oncoming snow storm. It is fully automatic, the windows and mirrors, the radio controls, and even the option to utilize secret "manual" options (though it is clearly automatic). When first searching the inside, for cigarette burns around the windows and cushion stairs, I was surprised to find little to no damage. The seats are cloth, almost fully black in color, and convertible with minimal effort. Handling-wise, there's an awfully unexpected kick. It thinks it's a race car even though it's only ... (more)
Pros
The best features are that the dealership replaced the brakes right before I purchased it. It's not a nifty gadget but a terribly big relief. Nice things about it, in general, are that it takes only 60 seconds to heat up (the AC is also very effective). It is just high off the ground that it avoids unnecessary damage (unlike my short Scion XA). The MPG is significant (20/30 city/highway range). Finally, frankly, it's really cute. But a man or woman could drive this, even though it's innately a little feminine.
Cons
If there was a massive storm, I'm on the highway, and I'm mirroring a semi truck, its mere force could scoot into the next lane. Or if it merged unexpectedly I would surely not survive a collision, to any severity. It's not an off-roading vehicle, more for putting around flat land in the city.
2013 Honda Fit - Great Fit for me!
I think this vehicle was a very good purchase. I really think that the MPG and feasibility of getting around makes this car one of the best I've ever owned. I needed a car that could get up and go, not kill me at the pump and work with the little space I have for parking. This car did that and more, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Story
Being able to park where others were forced to leave for lack of space. That is such a great part of this.
Pros
I'd say the biggest pro about the Honda Fit is all in the name itself; it fits everywhere. I drive this car around the country a lot. When it comes to huge cities that have very little parking, it really helps to have a car that will fit in the spaces others won't. I also would say for the 16k price point, it is perfect for gas.
Cons
I'm not sure this is a big issue with the overall make and model, but I had a small crack in my windshield become way bigger in the last few months.
