This is a great little car for the city -- zippy, fun to drive and park, cheap to own and maintain, fits tons of friends/stuff, and holds its value well. I would buy it again in a heartbeat, and when I eventually replace it I will likely get a new model of the same car (if I can't afford a Tesla at that point!). Although I think of it as a city car, it's perfectly comfortable and spacious for long road trips and has transported a few kayaks on top with a portable rack.
Story
I drove to World Market to pick up a dining table that seats six. The sales associate was skeptical, but we folded the back seats into the floor, pushed the front passenger seat all the way up, and took the table out of the box--it fit!
Pros
The car holds a TON because of the hatchback and the fact that the back seats fold up or fold all the way down into the floor (half at a time or both at the same time). It's a workhorse, and I've fit everything from huge plants and bags of mulch to dining tables in there. It's really easy to find street parking because of the compact size. Gas mileage is good, and it doesn't require premium gas. Reliability has been fantastic--I haven't spent anything on repairs since I bought it, although it has been maintained on schedule.
Cons
The wheelbase is smaller than that of a normal car, which negatively affects safety, and its safety rating has been downgraded since I bought it (the issue was fixed starting in 2015, I believe). Also, 2008 was the last year model before the 2009 remodel with more visually streamlined back headrests, etc. Also--weird small note--there's no vanity mirror for passengers (and this wasn't available as an upgrade). It makes me feel like my car is cheap when guests notice the lack of mirror. Lastly, the gas mileage is good but not great.

I needed a little run about car for in town driving and this car has just fit the bill perfectly. It's really small, very easy to drive and it's quite peppy. As a quick run around car I have found it to be perfect. Originally I got it to avoid having to bring out the big SUV, however since having had it for a while I am finding myself using it more and more. It's quite comfortable, very well built, has great handling and just makes me smile.
Story
Trying to parallel park it the first time. It was so small that when I got in the spot I still had 1/4 of the spot open.
Pros
Very fun to drive, very cute, handles well, gets into little parking spots.
Cons
Not exactly peppy, limited storage/carrying capacity.
