2013 Honda Fit - Loved it so much I had to buy another
What can I say, I love Honda Fits! I first bought a 2007 model, and when my wife's aging CR-V became too costly to repair, we went and bought another one. We, of course, got it used, but the 2013 model is a nice upgrade. These are great little cars that are extremely dependable, get great mileage, have plenty of room, and are fun to drive.
Story
The first time we took our family out in the new car, my youngest lost her gum! We still haven't found it after many cleanings. I hope that means it's on the side of the road and not in the seats somewhere.
Pros
I love how much you can 'fit' in these vehicles. The seats can fold up or down, and you can haul so much. We have two kids and don't miss larger vehicles. Gas mileage is great. I can get close to 40 on trips and mid 30s in the city. It's smaller and can fit into tighter parking spots easily. Very simple to parallel park.
Cons
It's an efficient car and isn't going to impress anyone or make a status statement.
2015 Honda Fit - Happy with hatchback.
The 2015 Honda Fit is a very reliable, affordable, and surprisingly spacious car. I regularly get over 40 MPG with the Econ mode turned on. I've driven close to 25,000 miles and haven't had a single issue. The seats fold down flat for extra space. I've even managed to fit an adult-sized bicycle, a bicycle trailer, and a stroller in the car, along with two adults and a child in a car seat. The car is a basic model but has all the features I could want, plus it looks very stylish -- all without breaking the bank!
Story
I love driving my Fit through the mountains in the fall to watch the leaves change colors.
Pros
My favorite things about the car are the fuel economy and how spacious it is, despite being a hatchback. I also love how seamlessly my iPod and phone connect to the stereo, either over Bluetooth or with cables. Another feature I've grown to love is the back-up camera. It can be immensely helpful in squeezing into parallel spots.
Cons
I was a little put off by the cup holders being on the smaller side, and I would've liked there to be more little storage compartments for change, sunglasses, MP3 player, etc. Also, the side curtain air bag panel can be a big blind spot in certain situations.
