If you'd like a modern sporty car that's great on gas and comes with payments below $200, I couldn't suggest anything more than the CR-Z by Honda. This thing is amazing. Fast. Great looking. Easy to park. Everything someone without family might want!
Story
It zooms in and out of congested drive thrus like nobody's business. Stuck for twenty minutes behind 40 other guys while the drive thru next door is free and clear? Bust out!
Pros
The car itself looks great. A modern take on a Honda classic. The hybrid engine really aids this thing in sipping, not guzzling gas. Its small profile makes parking a pinch. Don't like to help your buddies move or being volunteered for carpool pickup duty? Great, because this car only has two seats and won't accommodate any more!
Cons
Well, if you are the kind of guy who likes helping your buddies move or being volunteered for carpool pickup duty, then this car is going to cramp your style. Hard. It's barely bigger than a Nintendo 64, and while there is cargo room in the hatch, it is limited, and stacking things too high will obstruct your vision.

I really like this car. The size of the car makes it easy to live in the city. It gets really good gas mileage; I drove it 900 mile over four days and got 41 miles to the gallon. It's also fun to drive. I love the combination of hybrid and stick shift.
Story
I drove this car from VA to VT for a big bike race. When I got on the New Jersey turnpike, a Lambo passed me going pretty fast. I engaged the sport option and was able to catch up with him. It was fun to drive fast with an expensive car in my little reliable Honda.
Pros
It's a hybrid so it gets great gas mileage. It's a stick so it's also fun to drive. Although it's only a two seater, there is lots of room in the back. I'm able to fit my bike in the car for races.
Cons
It has an auto off function that turns the engine off when at a stop light. There is no way to disengage it. The back window is hard to see out of.
