2014 Honda CR-V - Absolutely wonderful
I absolutely adore this vehicle. The height of it is perfect for me, so I do not have to crouch down to get in, nor do I have to climb into it. The back-up camera keeps me from having to aggravate my chronic back pain, and it is an incredibly smooth drive. For the price I paid, I believe that the CR-V was an amazing value. I have had no internal or maintenance issues in the 18 months I have owned it. I purchased this vehicle to compensate for future children, and riding with my niece and nephews (two of whom still require booster seats) has shown me just how spacious and comfortable the back seats really are.
Story
My husband and I took a 1,200 mile trip to Delaware to visit his family. During the drive, we sang duets, talked about the various other vehicles we saw, and told funny stories.
Pros
The vehicle was an amazing value. I feel like I really got the most for my money. The gas mileage is fairly decent for an SUV. The incredibly spacious back seats has proven very helpful for keeping two boys in large booster seats, as well as a really rambunctious little girl comfortable. The back-up camera has been very helpful for seeing around blind spots, keeping a decent distance from anything in the rear-view and saving myself from the back pain of constantly turning around.
2015 Honda CR-V - I am disappointed in the Honda
This is the fourth Honda that I have owned, one Civic and three CR-Vs. Of all four vehicles, I like this one the least.
Story
We recently went to a family reunion and needed lots of room for everything we needed. I fold down one of the back seats and had plenty of room for everything.
Pros
I love the keyless entry, which by far is my favorite feature. The CR-V gets great gas mileage. I think the Basque Red Pearl color is very pretty. The overall design (look) of the CR-V is very appealing. I also like the rotating information display on the secondary screen. I love the heated seats. They work very well.
Cons
My number one complaint about my CR-V is that I feel confined in it. There is no room to sit anything in the front. The contours of the dashboard make it useless to sit anything like a GPS on. Even with multiple seat positions, I never seem to get comfortable. The navigation of the touch radio is terrible; it's not very intuitive. The seat color is so light that I spilled water and it stained. It is not very soundproof when riding down the road.
