2016 Honda CR-V - Classic reliability
This is a great vehicle. I previously owned a 1998 EX model, which I loved but decided to upgrade for better safety features and the added reliability of a newer vehicle. I like the overall design, int./ext. I feel that the touchscreen entertainment system is lacking compared to other vehicles in this class. Audio quality could be better.
Story
I've taken a few vacations with this vehicle and have fond memories of the journeys.
Pros
I like the classic design and Honda reliability. When I test drove the CRV, you could tell it was a CRV, and it felt like my 1998 model in terms of comfort, which is a good thing. I tested a RAV4, but it felt cheap compared to the CRV.
Cons
The most negative thing about this vehicle is the entertainment interface. It is the only thing about the vehicle that seems cheap or lacking.
2016 Honda CR-V - Safe, but cute.
I recently purchased a Honda CRV 2016, it is actually my first car, but I have experience in driving other Hondas such as civics and pilots. I thought this car had good handling and antilock brakes. As a new driver, I enjoyed driving this car without the feeling of being out of control. The car is compact, the design could be more appealing, but Honda really is not known for its design.
Story
I recall carpooling to work one morning and as I was driving my coworkers and I to work, everyone was so amazed on how well my car drove. They never been in a car that had amazing handling. Their comments just solidified what I already knew about the car, which was reassuring.
Pros
My favorite feature of the car is the ease of handling the car. It drives very smoothly even though it is a larger car, it does not have a "truck" like feel to it when driving. I do enjoy the small size while having the convenience of having a large trunk and room to fit friends and family. The car is also extremely low maintenance. I never had a mechanical issue in the last year of having the car. Where as my peers are constantly having issues with their new cars. So, it is definitely a major perk to have a car that is reliable.
Cons
My biggest con with this vehicle is the look and lack of advance technology. It is cute, but the interior design and modern technology that American cars have, Hondas in general do not have. It is not a deal breaker, however, it would be nice to have the technology and the look to match the rapidly changing environment that we live in.
