2005 Honda Civic - EXTREMELY RELIABLE!
The Honda 2005 Civic LX is a very good car. With a very aerodynamic shape to it for its time, and stylish looks.
Performance is pretty good at speeds of 60mph or lower. At any higher speed it’s a little bit difficult passing vehicles.
It’s the most reliable car I’ve ever owned! Never had any major problems with it ever! I’ve owned this car for over 10 years now and it still runs like it’s brand new!
Story
Fun story was actually off roading. Me and another friend in two cars were trying to make it to a house we were going to look at. What we didn't know is that there was 18 miles worth of muddy and bumpy roads to get to the house. Several times I had to pull my friends Honda odyssey out of a ditch.
Pros
Reliability is it’s best strength. Besides regular maintenance checks like changing oil and changing tires, I have only had to replace the stereo and the struts on the civic for 10 years I’ve had it. It’s been a great car, knowing that I don’t have to constantly worry about it dying or needing to dump a ton of money into it to keep it running is great to have!
Cons
Not much that I can say is bad with the car. There is only one “issue” that I would of like the car to have more of and that would be performance and horsepower. I use the freeway and highways probably 1.5X more than regular city streets because of my location. That means I drive at around 65-80mph most of the time. At those speeds the cars acceleration isn’t that good, you can struggle trying to pass a car that’s doing 65mph or more.
2013 Honda Civic - Compact, great gas mileage, and safe.
The 2013 Honda Civic LX is a sleek, compact, and gas-efficient vehicle. I am pleased with not only the modern appearance of the exterior (the lines of the car, the style and mold of the lights) but also appreciate that it has not been overly-modernized like the Prius or even some newer Ford models look. The interior of the backseat, especially the trunk, is incredibly spacious. I have never run out of room when putting items in the trunk. The seating is generally comfortable and easy to clean if there are any spills or accidents. When I have been in an accident in this vehicle, I've always felt incredibly safe with the make of the car and the way it has taken the impact. Story
I love the back-up camera. I always see our cat sitting in the driveway through it when I reverse out of our driveway each morning. I always have to honk to get my cat to move. I always joke that I will make a music video using the back-up camera someday!
Pros
My favorite feature of the vehicle is the overall appearance which is compact but not too futuristic. I also appreciate the MPG, which as I had previously explained, has given me as much as 39 MPG! I also am a huge fan of the reverse or "back up" camera which is a great addition and allows me to feel much more safe when I am parallel parking or reversing out of my driveway at home. I love that there are so many functions at the steering wheel that control audio, tracking, cruise control, and other features -- very ergonomic and handy. Cons
I think there should be more headroom in the front of the vehicle. My boyfriend is quite tall and cannot sit comfortably whenever he comes along with me for a ride in my car. I also do not like that the Bluetooth function has never seemed to operate or function correctly -- it never syncs up to my phone, such a shame. I also think there are many bugs that should be addressed when it comes to plugging in a USB cord to charge my phone or play music. It often says "bad connection" when the USB cord is brand new.
