2000 Honda Civic - A car to grow with.
My Honda Civic has been with me since high school. I like the body style, it has decent stock speakers, and drives very well. it doesn't seem to get the usual wear and tear that most other cars do. it has definitely proved to be quite the trooper with me and my children through the years! It has definitely been a car to grow with me and stick with me over the years from high school, college, and now with my three boys.
Story
Just running errands with my children and dancing to the radio in the car with my little boys!
Pros
The best things about this vehicle are the size, because I am a short person. It is hard for me to reach the gas and brake in other vehicles. It is a compact car, but there is sufficient room for my three boys to fit in the backseat. The stereo system has also proved to be quite decent straight from the stockroom. I have not had to upgrade my speakers at all. It also runs great, still, being 17 years old. I have had very little problems with it. it can really take a beating but it doesn't look like it!
Cons
My brakes seem to go out quite quickly and the tire rod irons. The paint has chipped over the years and there may be a few scratches here and there, but no huge rust spots or other cosmetic problems.
2013 Honda Civic - Economy vehicle.
While the Honda Civic is an entry-level sedan, I've been completely happy with my purchase. The Civics gas mileage is one of the highest in its class. My overall calculated MPG is 37 mpg and can reach closer to 39 mpg in the warmer months. The purchase price was reasonable for a new graduate like myself, and I didn't put myself into debt despite it being a new car purchase. The car's features are average with a back-up camera and powered windows/doors. The car's stock sound system is above average and of pristine quality. The vehicle runs quietly and smoothly even after having had it for nearly four years now. As for the overall appearance of the vehicle, it maintains its classic Civic style with a hint of sportiness. Story
I took my Civic on a cross-country road trip down to New Mexico. It has been on dozens of mountainous roads and has stood up to the challenge.
Pros
Mileage, back-up camera, and easy maintenance.
Cons
Limited standard features.
