2011 Honda Civic - Love it.
I have always driven Honda Civics. It was my very first car, and I've had three since my very first one. My first car was a 1997 Honda Civic passed down from my sister when she went off to college, and I just got my license. It was a very reliable car, and I never had any problems with it. I always went to the same dealership to get oil changes and other maintenance done. They were always very friendly and fast.
Story
We always drive my car to the soccer game, since my husband's car doesn't have air conditioning. I named my car after my favorite soccer player because of this!
Pros
My favorite feature about the 2017 is the digital speedometer. My previous Honda didn't have this feature, so it's nice to have. I also have a very large truck for an SUV which is great for going on trips. My Honda also happens to have a trunk liner which makes it really easy to clean. I have a sun roof which really helps with air flow throughout the car. The Honda has a lot of feet room in the back. Cons
I really don't like how expensive they have become over the years. It's probably due to them becoming more popular. I really hate that the car automatically locks when you go over ten mph but doesn't unlock the passenger side door when you park and turn off the car. I have to unlock the car whenever I have a passenger with me.
2015 Honda Civic - Great car without a lot of hassle.
I like several things about the 2015 Honda Civic. I primary use it for work and close excursions. However it has been a couple of long trips (over 300 miles). While it gets decent gas millage (about 32 mpg), I was expecting it to be higher (around 35 mpg). It handles well and the warning that come with the car are nice for someone without a lot of knowledge about cars like me. For example, the sensors in the wheels alert me to when the pressure is low before and warn me to check my tire pressure. This is an issue I've had with outer cars. It runs very well in most conditions. I have had issues with the power when doing steep hills (a trip though West Virginia), but other than that it runs great.
Story
We had fun traveling from trial site to trail site in it. There was one day that my dog in the back seat was trying to get to a deer it saw outside.
Pros
What I like most about this car is it's computer dash system, It is very easy to navigate to get me the information I need. While it is more basic than others on the market, I like the simplicity and the fact that it locks down some it's features when you're driving. However, my favorite thing about this car is it's back up and right side cameras. These cameras are easy to use and make backing up and changing lanes much safer. Cons
My top negative thing about this car is its blue tooth phone system. While the computer dashboard is easy to use, the hands free phone system is cumbersome. It has trouble understanding what I'm saying (often missing numbers or bringing up the wrong name). It can be very distracting when trying to place a call when I have to glance at the screen for information (Pick 1 for dad, 2 for Danny, etc.). It also drops calls fairly often.
