2005 Honda Civic - My Experience With My 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid
I've generally liked this vehicle. It was originally bought as my husband's car but I needed something more reliable than mine because I did a lot of driving for my work. The car has proven to be very reliable, has well over 200,000 miles on the odometer and still runs very well. The interior is comfortable if not fancy, there's a surprising amount of space in the trunk. The gas mileage is excellent and we've only had to replace the battery once. My only complaints are that visibility from inside the car could be better and the body seems a little bit flimsy.
Story
I ride and board my horse at a nearby barn. I don't like leaving all my horse equipment there where somebody might pick it up. So my car doubles as my shed and I even refer to it as that.
Pros
What is really nice about this vehicle is the gas mileage (being a hybrid). The engine and most of the systems are very rugged. We've driven this car through all kinds of conditions and situations. For an older car, it runs relatively quietly and we rarely have to have any repairs at all. Although it's not a big car, it has plenty of space, especially with only two people. We can load the thing all up. I also think for a small, older car it provides a pretty comfortable ride.
Cons
There are problems with visibility from the driver's seat. I have trouble seeing anything behind the car and have to be careful when backing it up. I'm 5'1, and don't recall having this problem with any other vehicle. Also, the exterior body seems a little bit fragile, it has a lot of dings from things hitting it. It is also low-slung enough that the front bumper actually got hung up on the concrete "stopper" in a parking space, and has not looked right since.
2012 Honda Civic - Perfect commuter for anyone
I like most everything about my little black Honda Civic. The exterior is nice and modern and doesn't have too much going on. The taillights and headlights are nicely shaped. The glossy black paint is a nice touch from Honda. The front grille is aesthetically pleasing as well. The interior is pretty nice and modern for a 2012 car. I love how the radio has USB and shows the album art on the screen when playing a song! Performance on the road is pretty good, but I wish the car put out more power. I find it difficult to pass people on the highway sometimes without sending my RPMs up to the moon. Steering through corners is nice and tight, and I never feel like I will lose traction or hit another car while doing wide or sharp turns. I love how the car is small, which makes it easy to fit i... Story
I drove an hour after high school in this car to pick up my first electric guitar off Craigslist.
Pros
The best things about this car are the radio and music player with its USB and album art screen, the very good gas mileage, the modern and attractive exterior, and small size for parking.
Cons
The lack of power to the engine is the worst thing about this car by far. The back seats could also have more space, but some people may not care.
