I have always been a fan of Honda, as my first car was one, and my first hybrid is now also one. When I initially got the used car, the gas mileage was spectacular, however after about a year all that extra mileage seemed to dwindle away... Maybe it was how I was driving, but I just feel that as a main selling point of a hybrid it shouldn't be that easy to affect the 37 mph the car is said to have. Other than that there were very few complaints, its defiantly not a car you will be using to race as the acceleration is extremely slow, sometimes passing cars on the highway was a bit scary... But overall a great beginner hybrid, even a great beginner car for a youngster.
Story
Bragging to all my friends at how I could drive my car all week and only have to fill up once, it was magical!
Pros
The Gas Mileage that I initially received from the used 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid I purchased was astonishing. At the time driving a hybrid would allow you to take certain tax credits. Honda automobiles don't depreciate as quickly or as much as other cars. Parts were easily located, even at junk yards. The few accidents I was involved in I felt very safe. The car was so silent sometimes, guests would think the car turned off. It was quite spacious for a compact car.
Cons
However after 3/4 of a year or so the gas mileage seemed to become equal to a pure gas car. Honda civic hybrid batteries were known to break down... Repairs were costly, especially if it had to do with the hybrid system. Not every car repair place could work on, or would know how to work on a hybrid system so looking for a mechanic sometimes was a pain. Acceleration was very poor...

I like it because of the great gas mileage and low maintenance costs. I dislike the seat comfort.
Story
Kids are grown so I can't think of anything funny.
Pros
Number one is 45 mpg on the highway. Next is very few maintenance issues.
Cons
The seats aren't cushioned enough and hurts one's backside. Visibility is limited by the design of the front windshield struts.
