1999 Honda Civic Owner Ratings & Reviews

1999 Honda Civic - I love my car, it's been a great starter car.
I bought my Honda Civic as my first vehicle ever. So far, I've had it for about three years now and I love it. It has a lot of positives and a lot of things that make it worth purchasing and reasons as to why I love it. The car is very cheap to purchase, maintain, and to use. The car only had cost me a few thousand dollars, making it a great starter car and a perfect car for me to use that was reliable as well as not too slow. I was looking for a car that went pretty fast, even though I knew that it was just a starter car.
Story
A time when I had a lot of fun using this vehicle around my location was when we took it to an empty parking lot and did a lot of drifting with it.
Pros
The Honda civic that I bought was a perfect fit and fit basically everything I was looking for in my first car. The car is very quick and feels just as fast as cars that are still coming out today, this made me very happy. I had totaled this car before though, so there is a little damage to it. Even though my car has been through so much, being my starter car, it is still holding up and is still a great, reliable car. The gas mileage on my car is also great, and I can make some really long trips with it and not have to worry about any vehicle problems occurring.
1999 Honda Civic - Inexpensive and Lasts
The '99 Honda Civic EX is by no means new, but with some maintenance, still runs well. It comes with power windows, mirrors, and sun roof. It also does great on gas; about 34 mpg on the highway. This Civic handles well, but does not have great power; you really have to step on it to get some real acceleration. The main advantages of this car are that it is economical and it lasts a long time.
Story
Late at night when the highways are empty (which is rare since I'm in New York City) I'll have the space to pick up some speed. Even at the top speed, this car hugs turns so well. About a year ago I drove on the Grand Central Pkwy at 110 mph with the windows down and the sun roof open. It was incredible.
Pros
Great gas mileage, will last the owner a long time, power windows, mirrors, and sun roof.
Cons
Very little power under the hood, requires regular maintenance
