Honda Accord Owner Ratings & Reviews

1991 Honda Accord - Best gas mileage from the early 90s.
This car has 275,000 miles on it and still runs well. For the price I paid, it was well worth the investment. We had to make some repairs, but the price of the car plus the price of repairs was still a better value than the price of many newer, yet worse vehicles we tested. Sturdy and cheap to run. We don't have to worry about expensive electronics failing on us. Short of a hybrid, an early 90s Honda would always be my favorite choice for a sedan.
Story
We haven't owned this car for even a whole year yet, so I think the most memorable time I had in this car was when we first bought it and drove it from Elmira (where we bought it from an old guy in a parking lot) back to Eugene. The driving experience was just so different from the minivan we'd been using! We were so much lower, so much more maneuverable, and I felt so much safer because it wa... (more)
Pros
The gas mileage is over twice what we were getting for a minivan that was a decade newer. We went from a tank a week to a tank every two weeks. For a family with a three digit budget, this was essential! Repairs have been straightforward--things wear out and get replaced relatively cheaply at any ordinary mechanic. The key is just a key. For a newer car, you can pay a hundred dollars to replace your fancy electronic fob or make a spare. We spend $3. It's easy to drive. It's both compact and comfortable.
Cons
The driver's side window doesn't close right. You have to get a friend to aim it into the frame while you hit the button. This means opening the door at drive-thrus. The air conditioning doesn't work. Combine this with the window issue and you can get some uncomfortable summer driving. The paint has just plain weathered. It wasn't a gorgeous color to begin with, but now it's also kind of patchy. We did have to replace the axle and the belt not long after purchase, but we knew we were going to. It also has those weird old two part seatbelts--the ones where you have to put on the lap belt an... (more)
2014 Honda Accord - Reliable and fun to drive
From the moment I started driving the car, I really loved it. It handles well, has plenty of acceleration when needed without worrying of ramping up the RPM too quickly. The standard included features are wonderful and extensive in all models of this car. The sport model has exceptional handling, a very firm wheel response that takes corners well. One of my favorites aspects of the car is the Bluetooth connectivity and Pandora app built into the Infotainment system. Makes it super easy to pick any of my Pandora stations on my phone using the infotainment system.
Story
Driving over to the Oregon coast to Florence the first time was a blast. The winding coastal mountains were a ton of fun to cruise through on a midweek day.
Pros
Some of the things I like most about this car is the spacious cabin room. You have plenty of head room, and all my rear seat passengers comment on how much leg room them have. There is also plenty of trunk room. Folding down the rear seat gives you enough room to throw a bike into the back if you need. Gets excellent gas mileage for a car this size. I never use the eco-friendly mode, and around town I get about 28mpg, highway I would say I average about 34mpg, which is great. As noted previously, I love all of the features the car comes with, including the adjustable seat with lumbar ... (more)
Cons
One of the downsides is road noise, even with the active noise cancelation it can be noticeable on rougher roads. Granted, it is far better than say a Civic or similar car. While there are solutions for this, the standard leather wrapped steering wheel gets very hot in in the summer sun. The slope of the rear window makes it difficult to clean on the inside.
