My 1994 Honda Accord has been one of the best cars I have ever had. When I bought it, it was already on 200,000 miles. I have not had to replace many parts, and the car is mostly pristine. It's now rolled over to 300,000 miles and still doing amazing. It gets fantastic gas mileage and all of the parts are cheap. It also has plenty of room for my family and I, without being too large or bulky. I have never had engine or transmission trouble with it. It's easy to find aftermarket parts. The backseat is spacious. There is plenty of trunk room. The interior is still in great condition. The airbags are still working.
Story
This car surprised me with its ability to get up the mountains in my area without struggling!
Pros
I love that this vehicle is not new. I like that I can fix it myself. It does not have any kind of lock or molding over the engine, so even if I want to work on that, I am able to. I am able to use inexpensive body kits to change the look, because of how common this car is. The Accord, even from this year, has gotten great safety reviews. I trust this car to carry my family and I where we need to go. The tires are inexpensive and quite a few sizes are interchangeable on it. The only negative I have to say of this vehicle is that it does not do very well in snow.

My Accord has been with my family for a very long time. I believe it is one of those cars that will never die. I got it new and have driven it every since. I have never had any major issue with it, and it has taken me to work every weekday for 12+ years now. I love the size as it can hold me, my wife and my son comfortably and leave room for more. I have held four suitcases in the trunk without issue as well. It survived being struck by lightning once, and even though insurance paid $12k to fix it, it still runs great. As I just got over $200,000, it's finally showing some signs of wear, but those are fixable and I see it lasting many more years.

When my wife and I were traveling through Arkansas and it got hit by lightning.
Pros
This is a great reliable car. I'm not sure what parts they put on this thing but they are made to last. The only major work I've had done is a time belt, which was quite easy as I did it myself. It gets relatively good gas mileage at 26-30+ mpg and always has the get up and go when I need it. The interior is also in really good shape after all these years, and I've never had to replace the leather inside.
Cons
After these many miles, it's finally seeing some wear. My air conditioning stopped blowing cold air on the passenger side, and my shocks are very worn out. It also could be a little roomier in the back seat to hold three people. I would like also a little better gas mileage as it's my daily driver to work.
