Honda Accord Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2005 Honda Accord - The Honda Accord is a reliable, quality car for a great price.
I have a 2-door Honda Accord (2005), and this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The interior of the car is very attractive in a black and tan combination and also very comfortable. There is a good amount of space for it being a 2-door car. The car drives very smoothly and has been reliable for 100,000 miles. I have never had to do a thing to repair it!
Pros
The smooth drive of the car is a big positive. It handles the road beautifully. The sound system in the car is very impressive as well. Honda creates quality, reliable vehicles, and this car is a testament to that. I had never driven a Honda before, but I now understand why I have heard so many good things. Gas mileage is fantastic, too. Another big plus is the ease with which the stick shift in this car drives. I have never driven anything besides an automatic car before. This was my first vehicle to learn to drive stick with, and I found it very easy to learn. The change between gears is... (more)
Cons
There aren't many negatives to Honda. The only thing I find less than desirable is the paint slightly chipping in a few spots on the hood. It is very small, and I have had the car for a while, so it might be due to this. Also, the 2-door nature of the car can be difficult when trying to get in and out of the backseat. I wouldn't recommend having a car seat in the back for a baby. It will get tedious quickly.
2005 Honda Accord - Fantastic automobile
The 2005 Honda Accord is the finest car I have ever owned. I have driven it for ten years now, and it continues to perform as well as it did on day one. The maintenance cost is extremely low, which is a testament to the quality. There are no squeaks, whines or other noises coming from the engine or rattles from the interior. The paint has held up marvelously. At nearly 200,000 miles, I haven't needed major repairs as long as I have kept up with regular maintenance. The interior has kept up quite well. The ceiling is strong, the upholstery hasn't ripped and the seat-belts all operate fine. The only issue I have experienced is some wear on the armrests and steering wheel. The electronics still work well, except for the cruise control, which no longer works. Overall, the 2005 Honda Accord... (more)
Story
I would always take my friends on trips to local fast food places late at night in college in this car. Usually after late hours of studying, we would all hop in and drive around looking for something to eat as we relaxed from being cooped up inside all evening.
Pros
The performance of this car is very good. Although I don't get a ton of power from its V6 engine, it can still get up to high speeds quickly and handles great. No interior noises like rattles or squeaks. There is plenty of room for passengers, and the trunk space is spacious. The mechanical features of the car still work perfectly: sunroof, windows, keyless entry, air conditioning, etc. The engine performs like a dream, even after 200,000 miles without major repairs. The maintenance cost of the vehicle is extremely low, and the MPG is very decent for a car of its age.
Cons
The cruise control no longer works. The trunk has developed a leak, but I only have issue with this during very heavy rains. The armrests and steering wheel are showing a lot of wear. The EX model does not come with an auxiliary port despite having an AUX button on the console. The interior noise is louder than I would prefer.
