I have driven this vehicle 100K+ miles within 5 years. No major issues, except for a small issue with the strut, and occasional battery corrosion due to the extreme weather where I live. The car handles well, and requires minimal maintenance, in terms of time and money. This is especially good for me, as I commute a lot. I get my required oil changes, but never have any build-up.
Story
I had to drive home 1300 miles with the window down through tornadoes, rain, snow, sleet, and hail, in 17 hours.
Pros
I have driven this car across the country twice, and used to do frequent overnight trips out of state. In all weather, the car maintains high levels of performance. The only issues I have had have been with the power windows and GPS unit going in and out.
Cons
The electric issues with the GPS and window are highly annoying. Since the audio and temperature controls are operated within the GPS screen, once the GPS becomes testy, then I can no longer access the audio and temperature controls (amongst other things). Also, when the battery is disconnected from the car, all the security passwords for the GPS need to be entered. But, I bought the car used, and none of the information I needed to re-set the GPS came with the car, so I had to do some searching online, and go to the dealership. I bought my Honda Accord three years ago. To this day, I consider it to be my best investment. I was fresh out of college and needed a reliable car to get to my job. A friend of mine owned the same car in the past and highly recommended it. The car is everything I needed and more. I bought it for $4,500 cash from a private party. My Accord has great gas mileage ( 25 miles per gallon ), a sporty appearance, and is very dependable. In fact, a regular tune up is just about the only maintenance I have ever had to do to the car. I am fairly tall so I can appreciate the generous leg room my car provides. Also, the trunk space is perfect for my active lifestyle. Cons
The car does come with a few flaws. Since the car is focused on durability, the interior is rather plain and boring. The interior looks and feels rather cheap as well. If you want a vehicle that is a head-turner, then this is definitely not for you.
