2011 GMC Terrain - GMC Terrain - A great car but not for everyone
My 2011 GMC Terrain has been good to me. If you are a person who is all about cost, the Terrain is for you. It's affordable, good on fuel, and very dependable. I have not had any serious issues with my Terrain. GMC makes a great small SUV with the Terrain. Best word I can use to describe the Terrain is that it's simple. It's not complex. It has just what an average driver needs.
Story
I live in a rural area so being outdoors is big where I am at. I never considered it is possible to mount a kayak on a Terrain until I saw it done recently. I plan on spending my summers kayaking soon, and now I don't have to worry about investing in another vehicle when my Terrain is capable of stuff like that.
Pros
It is very affordable. My monthly payment was not high. It's good on gas. There was times when gas prices rose, and I never experienced a spike in my fuel costs. The Terrain is very comfortable for the driver as well as having room in the back for extra items.
Cons
The only con I have with the Terrain (and it's somewhat my fault) is that I didn't take into consideration that my family would grow when I first purchased the Terrain. The kids are older now, and it's starting to be a tight squeeze in the back for my family.
2012 GMC Terrain - Great SUV
We have owned this Terrain since 2012, and we are still very pleased with its performance. The city and highway mileage is good, considering that it is an SUV. The back seats fold down, and I can get an eight-foot folding table in the back. We travel every Christmas about 1,800 miles to visit family, and I have never run out of room for all the gifts. There are now ten family members to bring gifts for. The ride is comfortable, because the seats are adjustable, and the passenger seat lays down so one can sleep and the other can drive. The only issue I have with the vehicle is the placement of the cup holders, but there is always a way to adapt. Overall, I would give this vehicle a five-star rating.
Pros
Gas mileage, comfort, and cargo room with seats that lay down and a passenger seat that lays down as well.
Cons
We don't like the placement of the cup holders.
