2018 GMC Terrain - 2018 GMC Terrain - the best yet
For the most part, I love my Terrain. It's a base vehicle, and I do miss my heated seats after having a 2016 GMC Terrain SLE-2, but it ended up not being a huge deal at all. The turbo seems to help the car heat up pretty fast in the winter, and it has a bit more pickup than my last regular four cylinder. I am a huge baby when it comes to driving in the snow...AKA I'm absolutely terrified. I won't drive in the snow without 4WD or AWD. The AWD on this Terrain made me feel more safe in otherwise extremely anxious situations. There is a ton of room in this car, although I prefer the room in the previous model as I had a 2016 GMC Terrain SLE-2 AWD before this, and it had more trunk space. The rear seats fold flat, 60/40, and provide a ton of trunk space if you do not have a car full of pass...

The rear seats fold flat, 60/40, and provide a ton of trunk space if you do not have a car full of passengers. In the 2016 model, the seats were so comfortable, but I hated the mesh material as it would leave imprints on my legs for quite some time after sitting on it. They changed the 2018 to (in my opinion) low-quality fabric and the seats are awful and so uncomfortable for long drives. A 3-4 hour drive in this 2018 model leaves me sore and begging to get out of the car. The physical sleekness of the 2018 is much improved and is a bit less boxy and more sporty. As for gas mileage, it's pretty good but the size of the tank is significantly smaller than my last Terrain. Overall, I love my car, and I've had it for 1.5 years now, and will be in it for another 1.5 years or so. I am looking forward to the end of my lease to get into something different, possibly a truck or bigger SUV (personal preference) but as for the size of my family and my hauling needs, the 2018 GMC Terrain SLE-1 AWD is perfect for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in it so far.
Occasionally, my friend and I go garbage picking (to pick and sell), and one night we had amazing luck. We had so much stuff that we had the trunk full, and then we had to fold one rear seat down and filled that up, folded both seats down and filled it up and even put stuff in the front with us. We had a good portion of our garage sale with things from one car load of stuff. Love the room!

The start-stop feature is something I hated at first. I got used to it; however, the hesitation after it stops and starts again is still annoying and frustrating. The uncomfortable seats are something I can't deal with for long trips. Smaller gas tank.
