We are really happy with our GMC Terrain. We find that the quality of the vehicle is to our satisfaction and better than most vehicles of similar sizes. When the car drives, it has a sturdy feel to it and doesn't feel like a stiff wind would blow it over. Another thing that we like about the Terrain is that you can talk with people pretty easily inside over the noise of other cars around you. We also like that the door panels are very high in relation to the driver and passengers inside the car. It doesn't feel like we would be exposed in side impact car accidents. The other enjoyable thing about the car is how smoothly it drives over rough road. The bump are minimized compared to other cars we have own and driven. The one thing we don't like about the Terrain is that there isn't much ... (more)
Story
One memorable story is how our Terrain just powered through snow and slush without issue while other cars and trucks struggled a lot to do the same.
Pros
We love how the back bench seat can be moved forward or backward. We feel that it's pretty easy to talk in the car over the noise of other traffic. The SUV also has great notification dashboard panel that can relay a lot of important information to us when we drive, like which tires require more air in them. We love how well the SUV drives and how it minimizes bumps on the road. The Terrain also handles very well in adverse driving conditions such as rain or snow. We also know how well the car protects us inside when we got into a car accident. The SUV also has great seat heaters that don'... (more)
Cons
One drawback to this SUV is the low mpgs. It is very costly to refill the gas tank. We also don't like how it feels like there isn't much space for children car seats. There Sometimes it takes some time for the Bluetooth to connect to your cell phone.

2014 GMC Terrain - Usable, but dull.

It's a clunky piece of all right. It performs well on long trips and driving at high speeds. It doesn't get to those high speeds very comfortably. It shifts awkwardly and inconsistently. It's fairly comfortable up until you bring in too many people, then it's cramped. Too many people in this case is about five adults. It's served me for over five years, and I've ran into few problems. The built-in radio was nice for the first two years when it worked. Now it's busted and getting a replacement is stupidly expensive.
Story
Went gunning it through mountain roads on a warm summer night. It was fun. Somehow we outraced a few friends but don't remember passing them.
Pros
Gets great gas mileage when on a freeway or highway travelling long distances. Is really comfortable when driving in with not too many people. Operates well for a very long time, in comparison to a lot of other vehicles. The air conditioning and heating is very good for the front of the car. The brakes are pretty good for what it is.
Cons
Radio broke and it's very difficult and expensive to replace. Plus, the screen won't quit flashing which can get distracting as hell. It's an automatic, but it shifts at odd speeds, and it feels clunky when it does. Sitting in the back seat sucks, it tends to not get good air conditioning or heating. I got to go back to the shifting, it's pretty awful really.
