The 2010 GMC Terrain is very stylish with body curves and large headlights. It sits high enough to give you the feel of a truck. It has 4 doors with window guards and silver trim. The hatchback opens easily and gives access to a large space for storing things, as well as side plastic pockets big enough for carrying car supplies like coolants, oil bottles, gas can, etc. The interior is nicely designed yet not completely comfortable. There are also not many pockets for traveling accessories or places to put wallets, cigarettes, papers, pens, CDs, and other materials. The inside is very roomy though. The downside to why it would be given a bad rating is that the motor is way too small to try to pull such a large vehicle. Mine has a timing chain problem. Even after fixing it by professiona... Story
There are not many drive ins left in America, but I am lucky to have one nearby. Some friends and I enjoyed a few nights there throughout the summer.
Pros
The interior is nicely designed. The seats curve around to hug your body. Outside of the vehicle is a stylish design. It sits high like a truck. The mirror has a back up camera feature. There is a lot of space in the back seat and behind the seats. Each door has a window guard. It helps keep rain or snow out while the window is rolled down some. There is plenty of buttons for power windows and locks. It's easy to get in and out of the vehicle. There are large storage pockets in the very back. The windshield is a nice size to see clearly. Lastly, my favorite part of the Terrain is the front... (more)
Cons
The top negative things about the GMC Terrain is that it is not reliable. The timing chain has issues in many of these vehicles. In my case the timing chain rubbed a hole in the metal guard and leaked out all of the oil within minutes. Luckily I was not in the expressway. The motor is way too small to pull such a big size car. The interior looks nice but is not very comfortable. The headlights are huge and easily damaged because of their size. The rear window wiper always has problems on many of these cars. Gas mileage is really not that great. It's slightly above average. There are not en... (more)

The GMC Terrain is a great family vehicle or a great sport utility for trips. It is structurally sound, never makes a sound you can't identify, is a good deal for the money, and will impress you with the amount of luxury.
Story
We took this vehicle to Pittsburgh for a week, and this vehicle made the trip so much easier. It brought us through a torrential downpour without a problem, and we camped out in it during a hail storm while traveling and had plenty of room and tunes to wait it out at a rest stop. Once there, we had so much room for my son's baseball equipment that we didn't feel cramped at all. It was fun to t... (more)
Pros
I absolutely love the reliability of this vehicle. It now has over 100,000 miles and is still going strong. It's a smooth, quiet ride every time. There is ample room in the seating areas and the back/hatch area. The doors never stick, and the seat belts never hang up. It's comfortable and provides a lot more luxury features than I imagined it would. The leg room is ample, even for a tall teenager who's growing! It has a back-up camera, which can be very helpful. The controls on the steering wheel are exceptional for control over different things while you're driving. Gas (fuel economy) is ... (more)
Cons
The only thing I could say that I wish were different about this vehicle are this: 1. I wish that I had purchased floor mats that are vehicle/model specific as the carpeted ones it came with are not as rugged and sturdy as the rest of the vehicle seems to be. 2. I feel as though the SUV is a little large to not have third-row seating as an option, perhaps that is available, but if so, it was not available to me at the time of purchase. 3. Also, there are a couple of blind spots in the vehicle; use your mirrors in conjunction with actually turning to look behind you, and you won't have a pr... (more)
