2015 GMC Terrain - More roomy than it looks
The 2015 GMC Terrain SLE is a pretty decent vehicle. What drew me to the vehicle was the body style of this year's model. It has more of a boxy style, which was better than the more rounded looking vehicles that were coming out. That is why I went to the dealership and attempted to buy this vehicle. There are a few blind spots on this vehicle. Turn on my other vehicle had me almost hitting people numerous times. The vehicle drives pretty smoothly. If there is anything that I could change about the vehicle, I would make The back-up camera screen and navigation screen a little bit bigger. The back-up camera works pretty well also. I have not had to replace any major components of the vehicle, and my car has over 75,000 miles on it to date. This car is great on fuel economy. I had a full-... (more)

I had a full-size SUV, and this car gets a lot better mileage than that vehicle. If you are looking for a vehicle that you can drive cross-country, this would be a vehicle that would last. I just had to replace my tires for the first time at 75,000 miles. The car plays told me that these tires will only warranted for 60,000 miles.
One thing that I really enjoyed about this vehicle is going through a drive-through zoo. The trunk had enough space where two people and maybe a third smaller person could fit in the trunk with the liftgate up so you can see the animals up close. We had ostriches go ahead in the back of the car. That was a very fun and exciting day.

There are a few things that I really like about this vehicle. One is that the color of the vehicle was my favorite, which was sky blue. It reminded me of my hometown. What color is the main reason why I actually bought the vehicle. The second reason for me liking this vehicle is that the space between the front and the back seat is exceptional. The people in the backseat can basically stretch out their legs without having their knees in the back of the front seat. There is ample trunk space also. I am always volunteering to do things for the homeless and different other organizations, and ... (more)

I am always volunteering to do things for the homeless and different other organizations, and I can pack boxes and bags upon bags in my trunk without having to weigh if anything is going to fall out or not. Was also an adapter in which you can plug in a USB even in the trunk so people in the front and the back can have ample access to charge their devices using the car charger. There are actually three outlets for that. One other thing that I really enjoyed in this vehicle is that it comes with a navigation system built in. It also has access to Wi-Fi and XM radio.
There is also some negative things about the vehicle. The main thing that I do not like about this vehicle is that there is no heating or AC vent in the back of the car. In the winter time the people in the backseat are getting cold because they can't get adequate flow of the heat. In the summertime the people in the front would be freezing in order for the people in the backseat to feel the air coming out of the vent. That is the main thing that I would change about the design of this vehicle. Another thing that I would change is to have heated seats in the back also. I would also include... (more)

I would also include the automatic liftgate for the truck and remote start without using the key to start the car. It actually comes with remote start on the remote, but it does not have the keyless start.
2013 GMC Terrain - Great car
I never started off wanting a Terrain when I first started looking for a new vehicle. I was led to the Terrain by a coworker. I had been looking at smaller SUVs when I stumbled upon the Terrain. I took it for a test drive, and I loved it. It had all of the styling that I wanted along with all of the space that I need. I came from a sedan, so the extra cargo room is super important for me. I have enough room to have my son in the car and lots of extra stuff. It had always been a problem with the car, because I couldn't pick up anything big if I had him with me. I love the handling of this truck. The styling is great as well. It really fits in with my current image and totally fits into my life. I love driving this truck. I've taken it all over with me. It's been on many road trips, family vacations and work trips. I bought this car used, and it really was one of the best decisions that I could have made. I have a great-looking, reliable SUV that I can take anywhere with me, and it always gets the job done. It's been with me for the past two years, and I plan on keeping the vehicle for the next three–five years.
The first time I pulled the truck into my garage I must not have pulled in all the way. I go to close the garage door then go back in the house. All of the sudden I hear this boom! Apparently, the truck was sticking out, and the garage door hit it. Luckily, nothing was wrong with either.

I love the cargo room. This car is slightly larger than other SUVs in its class. It's slightly larger than the Ford Escape, Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4. All vehicles that I was looking at before the GMC Terrain. The extra space really goes a long way. I love the styling of the truck as well. It has got that classic boxy shape that's so iconic of SUV's. One of my all time favorite vehicles is the Jeep Cherokee and this truck really does remind me of my old Cherokee. The fuel economy, while not super good, is really pretty decent for a truck of this size. I love the ease that I can flip the back seats up and down. I find myself doing that a lot to haul various things . The cargo space is really a great size. You have a lot of room in there to take just about anything that you may need with you. The height is also another favorite of mine. I can see so much better when I'm driving versus a lot of other SUVs. I'm short, so I really need to be at a good height in my vehicle to be able to see well. The seats are shaped really well also. I'm always super comfy even on super long road trips.
The one major con for this truck is the fuel economy. I went from a car to this truck. Granted, I really do love my SUV. The fuel economy isn't all that great around town. Most of my driving is through a suburb, so I usually get fairly low gas mileage around town. I don't have the benefit of a longer commune or anything to be able to often see the higher fuel economies that are possible. Another negative with this vehicle is the blind spots. It's at times very difficult to get my mirrors positioned so that I can eliminate the blind spots. One somewhat negative thing about this truck... (more)

It is bigger than most other SUVs in the same price point. I have to be very careful when parking my truck in my garage. I always need to make sure that I line up everything just right so I can get in and out and so can my passengers. The width isn't all that big of an issue most of the time. The length I have to be mindful of when I'm navigating tighter parking lots, pulling the truck into and out of the garage, closing the garage door, and making sure that I do not hit the back of my vehicle.
2015 GMC Terrain - Reliable nice car
The car had 30,000 miles on it, and I have not had any mechanical or cosmetic malfunctions. It withstood the heat of summer and the frigid winters of the Midwest. It got around good in the snow as it is a lighter weight suv. The fuel economy is also pretty great for a small SUV. I have no complaints there as long as eco is on. It was nice to be able to road trip with an SUV and not worry too much about how much gas is going to cost. It is a small SUV, but it works very well for a couple or a couple with a child. We road tripped to Yellowstone in it, and we had adequate storage. We have three dogs, and all three dogs fit in the back just fine. The nice feature is the back seat can move forward, which makes the back more roomy. Aesthetically, the SUV looks nice. The inside is also nice l... (more)

I have a black version, and the red stitching in the seats are very attractive. The inside still looks like new even though it has been wore on quiet a bit. The tires were starting to show more than normal wear and tear at 30k miles on them. Also, the license plate needed to be screwed in on the bottom so it makes noise in windy days.
On the 4th of July, we drove up to the top of a parking garage to watch the fireworks. We didn't bring any cars so we backed the SUV into the parking spot then opened up the back. We sat in the back had a little picnic in the car as we watched the fireworks.

Good value. Looks like inside and out. Nice size. Reliable.

Poor tires. If eco is not on SUV, it gets poor gas mileage for its size in the city. Dealership is slow when it comes to oil changes.
