My GMC Sierra is a very well built truck. The interior is very spacious with leather, all the power options, Satellite radio and on star. I purchased the upgraded Z82 package made by American luxury coach with upgraded interior panels, a leveling kit and large wheels and tires. The down side is the fuel economy is lack luster especially when towing a boat and the ball joints on the front end are weak for the sheer size of the truck, causing alignment issues.
Story
I towed my 20 foot bass boat across the continental U.S. With my truck and it never let me down.
Pros
I love the exterior looks, with the wheels and tires. I also enjoy the spacious interior for carrying multiple people or hauling things around.
Cons
The fuel economy is sub par, getting around 13 mpg. It needs to be aligned more frequently than my previous vehicles.

I have been buying new cars for years, looking for the no compromise vehicle to fit my lifestyle. After constant let down, I decided to go out and buy a cheap used truck for work and commuting, until research would bring me to my next "perfect" new car purchase. I settled on a 2008 GMC Sierra in bare-bones work truck trim. One year later and this vehicle continues to surprise me. I purchased the vehicle with 130k miles. Despite what most would consider high mileage, this is the smoothest running motor I have ever operated. It has plenty of power and the transmission has never struggled to utilize that power without constant shifting, hunting for the right gear. The ride quality is surprisingly comfortable, and not just for a truck. I would rate it higher than the Jeeps, Toyotas, and Su... (more)
Story
Despite living in the warm South, we still get snow from time to time. In a recent winter storm, I looked forward to testing out the 4wd but never found the need. This truck just goes, reliably, in any conditions.
Pros
Reliability, engine performance, interior space, and great ride.
Cons
Interior appearance and paint quality
