I drive a 2011 GMC Acadia. Overall I like the vehicle design and concept, but it is not the best vehicle I have owned. Being a 2011 the technology features are slacking, but that is a given due to the year. Ever since I bought the vehicle there has been a hollow rattle in the front end of the vehicle that seems to have everyone confused. No one can seem to figure out what it is. I have had several parts replaced and it has still not fixed the hollow rattle coming from the front end.
Story
This vehicle has made our family trips so much easier. My kids love traveling down to our cabin at a close by lake and having a weekend get away. We have been able to pack twice as much as what we did before.
Pros
My GMC has a lot of room and for a family of five it is much needed! It drives smooth and is relatively quiet, besides the rattle. The vehicle is very easy to see out of, which is nice because there are not many blinds spots while driving. I love the backup camera. Another pro would be that it is very accessible. My kids have room to sit comfortably and we still have extra room for items that are traveling with us. My kids love that the back windows roll down.
Cons
There are several cons for this vehicle. The biggest con is just simply the fact that there is a hollow rattle in the front end of the vehicle that seems to not be able to be fixed. When something like that happens at 50,000 miles it is hard to not get upset over it. The speakers in the vehicle are not very easy to hear. The technology is not as up to date as some other vehicles of the same year. A major con for me as been the gas mileage, I have been getting horrible gas mileage.

I knew when I got to the dealership that I wanted an SUV. I have always liked GMC, so we went with that. The SUV was red, which was another plus because that is my favorite color. The SUV has a very clean stylish look that is very appealing to the eye. There is a back-up camera, which is a life saver. I love the feel of the SUV. It's a very smooth ride.
Story
It's a little silly, but one of my children's favorite things to do is to go to the local car wash. We pretend that we are on a pirate ship.
Pros
The SUV has a third row for seating, which was a major selling point. At the time of purchase, I was pregnant with my third child. My boys were very young at the time, and I was nervous about having a newborn in a seat right next to them. The SUV had excellent reviews for safety, which was another great selling point, and I learn first hand that it was true. About a year after I bought the SUV, someone ran a red light and hit me. Cons
The main negative thing about this SUV is the gas mileage. I had a thirty- to forty-five minute commute to work, and it drinks gas.
